Great device that I would replace immediately if destroyed, lost, or stolen
I'm giving this 5 stars even though there are weak spots, because the pro's far outweigh the cons. + Pros - Comes with a ton of great retro games - Vertical ergos are best for me - Screen looks great - Size and shape are perfect middleground of big enough, but still really portable - Extra SD slot for loading your own ROMs - Wifi - Great out-of-the-box experience - Reasonably durable (I travel with it all the time) + Cons - Screen will break if dropped on hard surface (I'm on my second one because of this, but it should tell you something that I immediately bought another) - Doesn't 'sleep' (screen turns off, but battery still draining)

Don't buy it, it doesn't work, I've tried with two already.
Piece of trash product, I bought two for my kids for Christmas hoping to bring some joy to them as they had it on their Christmas gift list, imagine my surprise when I decided to power it on and it wouldn't work both and even the replacement sent had the same issue it either didn't charge nor turned on, don't waste your time or money getting anything from this seller or this product.

Absolute buy this!
As a retro handheld this has so much potential. I did use the stock mini SD for a few days but realized that it comes with the card that will eventually brick(stop functioning). Seek out those who creat SD cards specially for certain models of Anbernic. The build quality is amazing, truly for the price it’s unbelievable for how low priced this is. The battery life depends on what system emulator you are running. NES you can get 5-6hrs of battery. N64 about 3-4 hours. Definitely learn all of your “function” short cuts. That is very important to saving slots of where you wanna go back to in games. I highly recommend this to those who wanna build a solid handheld retro for under $100, $60 for the system, $40 for a solid configured/ loaded microSD.

Good, but not great.
The OS is very buggy, and you DEFINITELY need to replace the SD card before making any saves. The OEM SD card is cheap Chinese junk. I copied the BIOS and flashed it to a SanDisk Ultra 64GB SD Card using an ISO flasher. It works! On another note, Some of the RetroArch ROMs flat out don't start. Haven't figured out why. Besides the SD card, the build quality is surprisingly good, and the device ships with a glass screen protector. The amount of IO ports impressed me. It boasts 2 SD Card slots; 1 for the OS and one for an expansion card. It has a Mini HDMI port for using the device like a console, and 2 USB-C ports (one with Power Delivery for charging) for plugging in controllers. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

My husband loves it
My husband wanted this extremely bad so I got it for him finally and he plays it quite a bit. He says there’s awesome games on it and it’s nostalgic. He’s 37 and plays with it with our 8 and 10 year old so it’s for all ages !

Good handheld
For what it is good handheld. There is a good user community so upgrading the os is possible. You can add games. Controls are good. D pad is a little stiff

Two busted devices
Ordered two devices, one didn't work out of the box, the other stopped working within 24 hours. Why not just put better quality SD cards in these and charge an extra $5-10?

Was a nifty device until it stopped working
I work a full-time job, a part-time job, and I am a full-time student. I do not have a lot of time to play video games, so I decided to pick up this handheld. When it first booted up, I was excited to see all of the games from my childhood staring back at me. I played for about 3 hours on the first day before putting down the handheld. The device sat unbothered on my office desk for around 3 weeks before I decided to pick it up and play again; however, the device no longer turned on. The green light indicator was there, but the screen was black. After several seconds looking at the black screen it would flash “Game Over” before going back to a forever black screen. Thankfully, I was able to return the device and get my money back (all but an odd restocking fee for a broken device). I have read countless reviews of these handhelds and found that there are many who share the experience that I had, but I also found many who never had an issue. I happened to be one of the unlucky ones it would appear.
