He absolutely loves this and has no problem independently playing with it. Showed him how to make a car and he was off and running on his own. The toolbox keeps all the parts neatly together. This keeps him occupied for long periods of time. Review: 10/10, 3yr old loves it - My nephew (a big 3yr old) loved this set! He has so much fun playing with his new toys. We also got him the tool belt and some of the trucks. He was able to "build a flatbed" and use his imagination to "fix" things around the house. Quality holds up well to some occasionally destructive playtime, but he also doesn't play with these every day. (He's really into vehicles, so playtime is often spent in his toy "garage" with his fleet of trucks and cars...my sister is raising a future auto mechanic lol) Overall, 10/10 toy for my purposes.
