We were looking for a quiet, attractive clock to place on a bookcase. This is it! Quiet really matters to me, and this Howard Miller clock is very quiet. I can read at 2 AM and not hear the sound of ticking. And it's attractive and easy to read. Plus it has a second hand.

So often items looks great in pictures only to disappoint once they arrive. Not this clock. It is beautiful in person, heavy and looks very expensive. It does make a soft ticking sound as the description indicates but it’s not bad.

I’m not visually challenged, however I found this clock difficult to read.

It's nice and big, but quality isn't as expected.
