Overall a great experience. Sound quality is great for both CD and Cassette. Since it's a good quality it also plays some audio cassettes that had issues playing in my walkman, so am happy to have this player. Please note to use a step down transformer of 220/240V to 120V(you can definitely get it on amazon, I had got one earlier from Amazon 12 years ago and it is still good). There was a delay in delivery by the seller but they called me and provided excellent updates on when I will receive it since it is imported from US, it takes time, but patience pays. Overall I am happy with the purchase, again do use a step down transformer for this player, it's a good one!

Happy to listen to the old collection of cassettes and cd’s which needs to be digitalized now. The sound is clear as always for Philips. Needs adapter as the pin is HK/US type.

This is good, sleek product. It has an excellent sound and I have been able to play my old cassettes as well. Recommended foe those who own casettes and CDs.

I have become extremely surprised and frustrated just after unpacking that. The unit is suitable for 120 V AC and 60 Hz frequency, which is not for India. How the seller is promoting this product in india without mentioning this technical specification?

Phillips is a branded product, keep this product continuously inside the shopping list, I am waiting to purchase at an earliest.

It is designed for US. It will not work on Indian 220V AC connection. It is designed to run on 120V DC connection.

Nice and compact unit that plays all sources well: CD, USB drive with MP3 files, and of course cassette playback. It has a line in jack but the only thing lacking is a headphone jack. The FM tuner is an analog style but truly a digital one inside, in other words, tuning feels analog but it drives a digital tuner, stations kind of “snap” in. It does decode FM Stereo though this isn’t in the manual or any FM STEREO LED as is common, but who cares, the sound is in stereo! It is a good apartment/bedroom player, it isn’t going to get police called to you. Very basic, simple controls. The cassette player does play in stereo, and has a common Tanashin knock off basic transport with rewind, FF and pause, but NO RECORD, not that you would want to record on this type of device anyway. Wow and flutter are reasonably low, my old tapes recorded on Nakamichi and Yamaha decks play back fine and the azimuth is actually correct. About the best out there if you want a simple unit that plays CDs, tapes, USB MP3s and of course the obligatory line in, and a pretty decent FM stereo tuner.

The Philips Portable CD Player Boombox is a nice small unit capable of playing CDs, Cassette Tapes, MP3s, and it has a FM radio. The clarity is good and the speakers are reasonable for this unit. The quality of the build is good and the controls easy to use. It plays my CDs and old Cassette tapes well, so for its price I am well pleases. I would recommend this unit; I have it out in my garage/shop and it does what I want it to do without breaking the bank. made
