excellent high quality controller
Been using this controller for a while now and it is a dream of a controller to use. I love the layout of the thumbsticks matching xbox, The quality is spot on, the button seems pretty responsive but I have noticed my right trigger has this weird mechanic where I need to press the top of it rather than the back to get a proper execution of it. I think this could be resolved in the app but not worked that out yet as never felt the need to use it, would still recommend it. Best of all no stick drift on this as they use hall effect thumbsticks.

8bitdo - definitely do
Best controller I've ever bought. Reasonable price, comfy for my large hands, very crisp responces and no drift. Jubbly

Great controller that SUPPORTS the Switch 1 AND 2
I loved the colour and watched a few video reviews all praising the 8bitdo Ultimate controller, including its dock. After doing hefty searching online, I found out how to connect it to the Switch. You need to switch on "Pro Controller Wired Communication" from "Controller and Sensors" in System Settings, then plug in the included receiver dongle. Finally, you need to press and hold 'minus' + 'LB' together until your Switch shows it has paired with the controller. I had it on 'X' input from the toggle switch on the back of the controller. Ignore the fact 'Switch' isn't mentioned, nor the lack of Bluetooth. This controller is definitely 100% compatible with the Switch. I've also tried it on the original and OLED models too. The latter through a 3rd party dock. Update 1: (Switch 1) With the new system update, you might need to use another controller to select it (greyed out) from the "Find new controllers" section. Update 2: (Switch 2) You will need to download new firmware for the 2.4 GHZ receiver. Search for this article: "8BitDo Releases Firmware Patches for Switch 2 Compatibility" then download from "More Devices (Parent Directory)" the following: "Ultimate24GRR110.zip". Note: You need to follow the steps from this article THEN what I listed in my review too.

Street Fighter Fans Beware
A very good controller, but if you play any of the Street Fighter games get something else. I found the D-pad to be very mushy and pulling of moves very difficult.

Great controller at a sensible price
Very well made, nice weight, very good sticks and decent d-pad. I find I actually prefer this to the official Xbox controller.

God helps us all.
Really good controller, used it for ff14 game for 1 month and stopped using controller for 3 months literally and triggers are all dead. On the picture is the program of 8bit showing I pushed the trigger to its maximum length with the grip that rivals the hulk and still not even more than 10% on the left and on the right it's just passed 50% mark. If this premium controller is supposed to be the best. God helps us all.

Good Controller
Better than the standard Xbox controller due to the hall effect sticks

Using on PC. Very happy so far.
I've been using Microsoft's own controllers for a few generations now and they've began to fail me a short while (about a year) after purchase and some of them have had imperfections when I've bought them. So I've embarked on a journey to see if I can get a decent controller that's not over £100. I feel this should be achievable. And indeed, it is, or seems to be. This is a nicely made controller that feels solid and is responsive and easy to use. The triggers feel a bit like Playstation triggers, the sticks are world class and feel perfect right now, as good as any other controllers I've tried, and I've tried them all. The buttons are about as good as the standard Series X controllers and I've no complaints. The bumpers are an aquired taste perhaps but they certianly have a confident feeling actuation and shouldn't break easily (like my S/X controller(s) did. The Dpad is easily the worst feature, there's no way i'd play Street fighter on this, a reasonably demanding 2D platformer might well be fine though. It is perfectly usable in menus and such, but it just feels naff. The controller comes with a stand featuring a charging light, which I've found handy and overall I'm just really pleased with it, it feels like a smart purchase. I'm playing Wukong with it now and it's easily good enough for that. It's a cute little thing too.
