I recently purchased the NEEWER CB100C 130W RGB LED Video Light for my work studio, but it’s quickly become my go-to light for all kinds of events, including parties! The power of this light is unbelievable—at just 50% brightness, it’s so bright that it literally lights up the entire neighbourhood! The color reproduction is top-notch, thanks to the 97+ CRI and 98+ TLCI, which makes it a fantastic choice for video recording, photoshoots, live streaming, and all kinds of creative work. The 17 preset scene effects in FX mode are a lot of fun, and the ability to adjust color temperature from 2700K to 6500K, along with full control over hue and saturation, gives me a lot of versatility. One of the features I love the most is the ability to control the lights using the NEEWER app, which works seamlessly to control multiple lights at once. The cooling fan is quiet and efficient, and when running at less than 75% brightness, the fan rarely kicks in at all, making this light absolutely silent. This is perfect for when I’m filming with live audio, as there’s no distracting noise from the equipment. The solid metal shell and Bowens mount are perfect for all sorts of accessories, and the tripod mount allows for easy angle adjustments. After trying the 130W version, I’m so impressed that I’m planning to buy four or five more of their more powerful units for my studio. Such good value for what it does. Neewer have made life so much cheaper since they have started making lights. I mean something like this would have costed 5 times as much 5 years ago and wouldn't have included an app. If you are filming product shoots or interviews then this is perfect.

The piece you attach to the light stands doesn’t work properly which makes it difficult to direct the light how you want. Good size Build quality acceptable for the money you pay for it

I like everything about this light. Aside from it being a bit expensive lol. It's great though, the colours are vibrant, it's well made and the functions are easy to operate. Full marks.

I really regret buying into the youtube and amazon review hype about these lights. They really aren't 'smart' enabled or whatever they call it. You need to buy an additional dongle, which is only available in the US as far as I can tell. And even if you can get it to connect to the mobile apps it just disconnects after a few minutes, requiring a manual reset at the light. Have a look at the respective app stores reviews for iOS/MacOS and Android if you need confirmation of this before buying. I had to buy a Neewer-branded light stand for it as the mounting adapter is pretty defective (as others have mentioned). I was hoping that it would fix the issue, but I'm certain this thing is just going to fall off the light stand in the new future and end up smashed. At the risk of flogging a dead horse further I'm not even that impressed by the brightness, I deliberatly over invested and got the CB100 rather than the CB60, thinking it would future-proof all scenarios, but honestly, I find myself needing more light even at 100% when filming indoors. Unfortunately, I don't have the original packaging, as I didn't expect what is basically a Bluetooth lightbulb that you put on a stick, to be so rubbish - as such I can't even return this expensive waste of space.

This is my first ever Neewer light and possibly my last too. I mainly shoot with Godox but decided to take a punt with Neewer as I did like the idea of a RGB light rather than swapping in and out gels. The light is fine, the dials at the back of thr light is fine. Cannot get the Neweer app to connect or find the light so that's a little annoying. So this light is rated at 130w, i'm managing to get at 100-110w when I plug it into my power station battery with brightness dialled up to the max. So I did a test with my Godox SL6W and it turns out this light is about 1/3stop brighter with the exact same setup and when you shoot RGB colours it will be a few stops darker. Disappointed when you read the spec, expecting alot more from this light. As a final test, i shoot with the 18cm reflector that came with the light and the Godox SL60w is a full stop brighter, i couldn't believe it. TBH when supplier sell lights there should be standardise tests as these qouted values with this product just dont stack up. Won't be buy Neewer again, will stick to Godox.

Neewer a china brand and i started use their products quite a bit. This economical cost light has many colours to change, be it on phone apps or turning the knob on the light so I can create colours that I want as my background. Its lightweight and quite good quality build. from a 34 years experience international TV broadcast cameraman.
