I've bought a few trays looking for something I can use consistently but they're always too thick or too heavy or the angles are wrong. Initially, I picked up the Targus version of this style of tray but I found myself disappointed. Laptops and keyboards weren't stable and mice were making spirited attempts to escape the mouse tray at speed. The idea is good so I kept looking until I found this. It's spot on for what I need and is everything my empty soul has been longing for. The two big grippy bits on the main tray face hold devices in place perfectly with no annoying rotation or slippage as you type. But I was most pleased with the mouse deck. Not only is it available on either side but it has a simple strip of grippy stuff along the bottom edge (only right facing). This alone is enough to arrest the motion of even the most active of rodents and prevents their escape into furniture. Lastly, considering the difference in price is only a few quid, the quality over the Targus is massive. The mouse deck on this tray feels a lot more solid and I feel like I can safely rest my hand on it

I’ve been using the AboveTEK Portable Laptop Lap Desk for a while now, and it’s been really convenient for working from my sofa or bed. The lap desk feels sturdy and stable, and I like that it has retractable mouse trays on both the left and right sides, which is great for either left or right use but you can only have one side out at a time. The non-slip surface keeps my laptop secure, and the heat shield helps keep things cool during long sessions. It’s also lightweight enough to carry around for travel. My only small complaint is that the mouse trays can feel a bit tight with larger mice, but overall, it’s a great product that makes working from anywhere more comfortable.

A brilliant piece of kit, exactly the right size for a 15.6" laptop. Not too bulky or cumbersome. Nice soft silicone style rubber grips top and bottom so the laptop doesn't slide off it and it doesn't slide off your knee. Laptop fans are running a lot quieter now than when I used the laptop on my knee. The mouse pad is a nice touch but something I'll never use as I just use the touchpad. Would definitely recommend if you don't want something too bulky or fancy, it is basic but it works.

Bought it for use whilst travelling by air and in hotels. Works very well with a 13" laptop, and can be used with the mouse either on the left hand or right hand side. Quite light too, and packs nicely into a back pack. Is well made but might struggle with a larger size laptop.

Doesn't appear to be much ventilation, laptop still gets hot and the mouse pad is way too smooth and slippery. Really hard to keep mouse steady when clicking.

As a left hander living in a right handed world I find now and then that I have a problem finding what I need. This is great, left or right handed, no problem .... My 15.3" MacBook Air fits on perfectly and so does my Magic Trackpad, anything bigger than that won't fit on it. There isn't a cushion and I thought that might be an issue but I'm finding it ok, all in all really good so far.

Pros: - Sturdier than it looks. Solid plastic but lightweight. - The mousepad tray is reassuringly sturdy and is actually one singular tray that comes out either side for left or righthanded use, with a hard stop with a very slight 'lock' feeling meaning it won't slide in through use or bend down from pressing on it - it is just under the length of the whole tray itself, so it's not like, say, a dining table where both sides come out at once! A small lip is on the bottom edge of the tray to stop the mouse from sliding off. Cons: - Smaller than I thought. I have a 13" laptop so assumed that getting a tray that was advertised as fitting up to a 15" would be suitable. It BARELY fits a 13" laptop, and I mean less 1cm difference in overall area. There is no way in hell you could put a 15" laptop on this without significant overhang. Yes you could put a 15" on it, but it would give you a little less mousepad room, bear that in mind if you have a 15". Overall, it does what says for a 13" but I honestly wanted something a little bigger than my laptop overall which is my fault I suppose for just taking the claims at face value and not actually getting a tape measure out to confirm the measurements were what I wanted!

Works beautifully. The platform is lightweight yet feels sturdy on my lap. It can fit my 14-inch Lenovo laptop comfortably.

Playing games on my laptop really got it hot. I needed a pad without fans to cool off my legs. This works great. It is very light and my 15.7 inch laptop fits well. I can play easily without feeling the heat now. The slide out mouse pad seems a little flexible but you can switch to left or right and it might come in handy.
