It's a good size so I can use it on its own or with a flatter pillow underneath depending on what I need. I don't think it smells strongly of sheep as other reviews say, it smells of wool, sure but I mean it will do. I've found it to be perfect for my needs and I'm now considering getting the quilt, and another pillow. For me it feels nice to have something natural that maybe people would have used in the past, I like to think so anyway. Best advice, try it for a few nights before making a decision. I use a 100% cotton pillow case with it, as I think that's what the wool room reccomends to use with their products, to help with breathability of material, and temperature regulation.
