Solid and works great. Outdoor spigot was leaking so as a temporary fix, I attached this before the hose.

Nice, easy operation & no leaks

I had a cheaper version of the shut-off valve, and they would always leak or be hard to open/close. Not with this one.

GREAT Valve but it took five tries to find a washer that wouldn't leak at hose end. Original black rubber/vinyl washer leaked, no matter how tight it was. Black rubber/vinyl 'O' ring, black rubber/vinyl black one like original leaked, red rubber washer leaked. Finally went to green rubber/vinyl Gilmour washer. EUREKA!! Not sure what is wrong, not any more, but a 'royal pain' trying to find a washer that wouldn't leak. Would return it but with it working properly, now, it's not worth the effort. Oh, by the way, bought two of them!! Really like the slightly raised handle. Works GREAT with some of those 'plastic replacement male end' fittings. This is strictly FYI, for the company and for the potential consumers

Works Well

I have a lot of plants to water and the nozzles I use don't have a shutoff. I found this shutoff valve so I thought I would give it a try. Was very surprised at how heavy duty it was when I received it. Solid brass with a quality globe valve (Globe valves don't cause loss of pressure) It doesn't leak and the handle is long enough that it easy to turn on and shut off. Much more convenient than having to go back to the hose bib to turn the water on and off. Well built so should last forever!

After years of trying to find a quality shut-off valve for our outdoor hoses, this valve delivers on the term heavy duty. Everything about this valve is solid from the body to the shut-off handle. The internal components move very smoothly even when under full pressure and the longer than average brass handle makes it very easy to turn the valve off and on. It accommodates every type of hose and fixture fitting we own and connects securely without loosening when the hose or fixture twists. A plus that I did not take into account when ordering this valve is that it gives no conceivable reduction in flow compared to the other valves we've tried. Very convenient, very functional, and a quality buy in my opinion. This functions very nicely paired with the Riemex 3/4" solid brass quick connectors if you change fixtures, heads, or couple multiple hoses together frequently as we do. Very pleased with both purchases.

Looks good but don't be fooled I ordered a pair and they both leaked. Returned and tried a replacement set. That pair leaked as well. 4 out of 4 leaked from the brass threads connecting to garden hoses. I tried replacing the washers, stacking washers and tried 3 different hoses to make sure and they all leaked the same way every time.

Works very well

I will never go back to plastic connectors. This was a little stiff and leaked at first, but once it got used a few times the lever got easier to move and the water stopped dripping.
