I've been trying several options to add some variety to upcoming pre/post-op period where I will be on all liquids (not even mashed potatos or grits!) for over a week. I'm really sensitive to artificial flavors so that has made it a bigger challenge for me. I tried Boost Clear, which I believe has more vitamins in it than Ensure and also has "natural flavors" but the downside was an intense vitamin aftertaste with every sip. A lot of people love it. I do not. I do like the Ensure. Perhaps a bit less vitamins/minerals is good if it makes it more drinkable. For overall nutrition I use Kate Farms (organic and a nutrition bomb) but I can't drink those alone for over a week. Ensure is really sweet but when you are desperate for calories and nutrition, and a bit of variety, it works. I will probably keep it around long term, post surgery, especially during summer months. Easy enough to add a couple ice cubes if you want it less sweet. If you have an elderly family member who needs more vitamins and hydration, ask his/her doctor about this. It was on the list recommended by my surgeon for 'clear fluids'. It is NOT sugar free, just to be clear. OH and, LOL, to the people worried about the red color, it IS clear. Unless your doctor said colorless, as in water, this IS a clear, ie thin & see thru, product. "Clear" is not necessarily colorless and it isn't going to be red all the way thru your digestive system so if your own doctor recommended it don't worry about the red color.

So this was originally suggested by nurses assisting in taking care of an elderly relative suffering regularly from dehydration. Not only does it taste like brand name fruit drink it helps replenish fluids all while also giving nutrients needed. Far better then any of those horrid tasting hydration drinks and again with much needed nutrition. We have tried everything from actual bottles of drinks and even powdered additives and this is the only one the elderly will drink a whole bottle of. A bit on the expensive side at $2 a bottle but you pay more for the alligator stuff and probably doesnt all get drank due to taste. Its worth every single penny. Just pop the bottle in the fridge and/or serve over ice and you cant get any easier.

A light and refreshing nutritional drink that’s easy to drink and has a good amount of protein, vitamins, and minerals. The mixed fruit flavor is tasty without feeling too heavy.

I started getting this clear and can’t stop. It delicious and filling as a meal replacement.

Great tasting. Wish there were more flavors available. Due to medications berries, grape fruit and pomagranete are not allowed.

My mom has Alpha gal and needs protein. They are hard to fine but they work for her without causing any reaction. May not work for everyone. But it does for her. AND she loves the taste!!!

Love being able to order and have delivered right to my grandma vs having to search for these all over town. This is the only flavor she likes and it’s hard to find near me, when you do you’re paying double unless you have a coupon or deal and even then it can be pricey. It’s almost $12 just for a 4 pack in store.

These are good. Great for colonoscopy if don’t pick red flavor
