Kalamera 5 Star review
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Perfect Mini Fridge for My Needs! I couldn’t be happier with this mini refrigerator. It’s compact yet surprisingly spacious, fitting perfectly in my media room without taking up too much room. The cooling performance is excellent—drinks are ice cold, and it keeps snacks fresh all day. I love the quiet operation; I barely notice it’s running. The sleek design adds a modern touch, and the adjustable shelves make organizing super easy. If you’re looking for a reliable, stylish, and efficient mini fridge, this one’s a winner!

So far, I’m super happy!
After owning a more expensive brand and hoping to find something a little more cost-effective, that still looks good, I picked this unit. Per the photographs that I shared, it’s installed in a bar area and looks great. Right out of the box, it Plugged in and started cooling. It shipped on a small palette, wrapped and protected well . The unit seems to make very little noise - I can only hear it when I put my ear to it. It cools nicely too. I find the shelves functional and easy to manipulate - shown in the final photo that I posted. I spread the shelves out and use the top wooden shelf for bottles to lay down. As shown in my photos, the countertops I have are standard 36 inches high and 24 inches wide. You can see that this fits easily with plenty of space all around to allow ventilation for the compressor. Additionally, the plug provided is flat which is excellent (something that I was worried might force the unit forward). I used a level to make sure the unit was sitting flat annd adjusted its height slightly (easy to do). I could also make the unit a bit taller to decrease the gap at the top, but it doesn’t bother me. I know that these units sometimes have problems, but I highly recommend this so far for the price, aesthetic and function.

GREAT COOLER FOR RESTAURANT.
The cooler is extremely spacious on the inside and has a sleek, professional exterior that looks great in a commercial setting. It’s very simple to operate, and the temperature holds steady even during busy hours. I use it for my restaurant, and it has quickly become one of the most reliable pieces of equipment we own. The design is clean, modern, and adds a very professional look to our kitchen space. Customer service has also been exceptional. They responded to my concern immediately and resolved a small technical issue with impressive speed and professionalism. It’s rare to find a company that stands behind their product this well. Overall, I’m very pleased with both the cooler and the support team. Highly recommend this cooler for anyone needing dependable, attractive, and efficient refrigeration.

Operates perfectly - most stylish on the market today!
I have read all the reviews on this product and fully understand the good, bad and ugly replies. I researched every similar small built-in refrigerator and made the final decision based on sheer appearance and internal features. We were remodelling our master closet and we built a space specifically for thIs item. It fits perfectly, although the leveling legs required slight adjustment. Pay close attention to the depth and consider placing the servicing electrical outlet to the left or right of the cabinet on rear wall to avoid refrigerator plug issues. We purchased this item in January 2018 but did not install it until late March. It set upright per directions in our garage until we installed. We had to reverse the door and I must say it was much easier than other models that we have and required the same adjustment. The fridge came packaged and boxed on its own little pallet which precluded damage on the bottom. What a great idea!!! Absolutely no damage, no dents, scraps etc. As far as operation, after about two months, brought it to the living room and plugged it in to check operation and cooling capacity. It took about an hour or less to reach the advertised 38 degrees. Now for us that is fine because we only chill water.I think other drinks like beer and soda require 34 degrees. Our kitchen subzero is set at that number and the beverages are perfect. The little blue light is perfect and very stylish, but the light from the thermostat is bright enough for us. The fridge is so small that you'll lose several degrees when retrieving a bottle, but it will rejuvenate back to 38d in several minutes. Our little refrigerator came perfect, works perfectly and is stunning to look at. We are now over 30 days in operation - so far so good. It's even $40 cheaper now than our purchase price. Overall, maybe we are just lucky. But our experience, except for customer service which is non-existent, has been perfect. Kalamera, if you bother to read this, contact me, I would like to know if you really exist. Four stars simply because customer service does not exist.

3 weeks in. Great fridge. Quiet, holds 38 F temp well.
We've had the fridge on for about 3 weeks. It arrived on January 20th, 2017 and its now February 13th, 2017. UPDATE: It’s been almost a year and our fridge is still working great. Pros: the listed dimensions are correct so it fit into our very narrow space of 15", it is holding the 38 degrees very well, the blue LED internal light is cool, it is quiet (I don't notice it running), it arrived in good condition, it is pretty chrome. We followed the directions to wait several hours (the directions we saw said wait 24 hours before plugging it in, but some HVAC experts in online comments said a few hours is plenty. We waited 7 hours before we plugged it in). Everything is working great. We would recommend this fridge to others and we works buy it again. If we have any problems, I'll update this review. CONS: These are small things that wouldn't prevent me from buying it again. The LED light (the only light in the fridge) at the top can get blocked if you put things on the top shelf. So, the pretty LED light gets greatly dimmed. I just try to avoid blocking it, but that means I get to use less space. The LED light has to be turned on and off manually. It might be nice to be able to turn it off so it stays off normally and only turns on when you open the door. But, it's not a big deal. I wish the fridge would go lower than 38 degrees for super cold beer. But, I haven't seen any mini fridges go lower than 38 degrees.

No Good: Operation Failure, Bad Design. Too costly for a cheaply made trays inside
After doing the due diligence, I finally decided on the Kalamera 15" 30 Bottle Wine Cooler" that had 4.5 Star average review of total of 147 reviews as of 2/3/17. I figured that it was a no brainer since the overall reviews were excellent. First Impressions: Packaging: Inadequate. The box is not fully enclosed. The bottom side of the box is open. This is where the wooden palette is attached to the refrigerator. The bottom of the package actually has a wooden palette. The overall packaging did not feel adequate. Aesthetics: The appearance is nice; however, it sits too low to the ground. Consequently, you are not able to see the interior temperature of the cooler. To see the temperature, you have to bend down good bit to have the visual on the temperature display. Deal Breaker Issues: The 30 bottle capacity is completely bogus. There are 6 shelves and each shelf can hold 3 bottles. So the overall capacity of this cooler is around 18-20 bottles not 30. By the way, the bottom shelf is not as deep (approx. half as deep) as the other 5 shelves. In terms of cooling: Current Cooler Temperature reported incorrectly: The temperature display does not show accurate temperature inside. It's off by 10 degrees. In other words, the interior temperature is close to 10 degrees *warmer* that reported by the temperature display. Design Flaws: - Temperature Display not viewable even from good distance from the cooler unless you bend down to the Display's level. - Bottom of the front door has a rubber stopper that is suppose to prevent the door from accidental openings. However, the same rubber stopper causes the door to not properly get closed unless extra force is exerted to close the door. This extra force also cause the refrigerator to shift around. - The trays are of cheap quality (one of the trays is broken in that the glued part of the tray came off). The sliding mechanism is not well designed. These trays look especially cheap when you compare them to the exterior of the cooler. Miscellaneous: This cooler is compressor based and therefore sounds just like a regular refrigerator in the kitchen. As a matter of fact, when measuring the loudness (in decibels), this cooler measure about 10 decibels *higher* than a full size Samsung 28 cubic feet refrigerator. I do want to put the noise level in perspective, though. Even though this cooler as loud as a refrigerator, the noise is not disruptively loud. At $600 price point, this cooler has some critical flaws like cooling is not adquate. I would **definately** NOT recommend this cooler to anyone at the $599 price point.

Great Beverage Refrigerator that Is Nice to Look at and Quiet.
This is an excellent beverage refrigerator and was perfect to use in a small and exact space between cabinets in the kitchen. It is not get extremely cold - so I would stick to only putting beverages and wine inside of it. What makes this refrigrator better than the rest is that the venting system is on the front. This means you can put it in between items without having to worry about venting it. It is very quiet. We NEVER hear it. The light is cool for when we have parties. The only thing I would change is if we were able to figure out the shelving configuration ourselves. But it is on grooves, so you are limited. But we still manage and love our refrigerator!! Also it is a nice looking machine. The handle and stainless face and grill blend so very well with my kitchen and other stainless appliances! Just adding on to my original review. We still love this fridge and it is still working as well as the first day we got it. I just would like to point out that although the venting is in the front, the unit still does generate heat on the sides. Our unit is surrounded by cabinets and the cabinet, particularly on the left gets hot inside from the heat coming from the unit on the other side of the wood. So make sure you don’t keep any perishable items next to the unit.

It STINKS (literally), but with some effort, it's ok
DIMENSIONS: My cutout (originally for a trash compactor) is 15" x 35". The width of the cooler fits well with plenty of wiggle room to slide in and out without issue, yet fills up the space nicely. The door, however, is quite thick, so due to the way it hinges open, the face of the door cannot sit flush with the rest of the cabinetry, it must be pulled forward approximately 1 1/2" (unless your cutout is wide enough to allow for the thickness of the corner of the door to swing into). This also puts the handle jutting out approximately 3" from the face of the rest of the cabinetry. The height, with the legs extended as much as possible, still leaves a 3/4" gap. I wish it were taller or at least offered more flexibility in the legs to fill that gap. SHIPPING: I would strongly advise you inspect your delivery thoroughly upon arrival. I had to return my first one because there was visible damage to the bottom of the box and denting to the front of the unit itself (perhaps from aggressive dolly usage). The second one was actually sent strapped to a small, wooden crate, which eliminated that issue. ODOR: Mine arrived with a horrible odor inside, so bad you could smell it across the room. I let it sit (with the door open due to the odor) for 24 hours. Then I wiped it with water, as per instructions. It did not help at all. I plugged it in and waited another 24 hours. That did not help. I put in a box of baking soda. Nothing helped! After a week I filled it with soda cans hoping constant use would help...NO...all the sodas just smelled awful as well. Some people call it a chemical smell, like glue. I think they are being far too kind. My son described it like yogurt that had gone bad and I could not agree more. I has a horrible, rotten, sour smell. UPDATE: THE PROBLEM IS THE AIR FILTER - I RECOMMEND THROWING IT OUT IMMEDIATELY. I actually ended up removing the filter, cutting with back round edge with a razor, then beating it with a hammer to remove the disgusting contents (there is no way that is pure carbon!). I wouldn't even throw that stuff in my trash can without sealing them first in an airtight container. Even my hands smelled awful for a while afterwards. I have a replacement filter on the way, but I'm not confident that it will smell any better, so I kept the face of this one intact, just in case. Better to have nothing in it than whatever they sent me the first time! I have since had to wash the entire cooler again, top to bottom, including the racks and all the sodas I had in there...and I can still smell that odor faintly...but it is much better now. I also cut open a fresh lime, placed it on a napkin on a tray inside, and it freshened it up a lot! FUNCTION: It seems to be cooling well and it runs fairly quietly. I wish the lighting was better, however. You can manually turn it on or off with the push of a button, but there is no option for it to go on and off automatically when you open and close the door; the color is very blue; and it's only in one location at the top which gets blocked by cans. The stock pictures of this unit show upright cans on the second shelf, which we found to be completely impractical as the top shelf literally sits on top of the cans that way. We had to lay them horizontally in order for the shelves to open and close smoothly without dragging or knocking over cans below. This will negatively impact how many cans are able to fit in there...although we can still fit a lot. BOTTOM LINE: If you want the top of the line cooler, there are slightly taller, more expensive options out there, with better reviews, and more bells and whistles, that probably smell a lot better right out of the box...but this one is a pretty good value, that looks nice, and with some effort will probably be alright.
