He confirmed that this was a great deal. I meditate every day, and this bench is ergonomically designed for sitting in the kneeling position. You can also sit cross-legged on it.I put my zabuton (the flat mat that the zafu which is the round cushion) in front of the bench, and VOILA! My knees don't hurt. My hips don't hurt. My back doesn't hurt. I can sit for as long as I want.The legs are removable, and there's a lovely human touch where someone has written numbers to help you know where to insert each support leg. It’s beautiful! I’m 5’2” with a bigger butt and bad knees, I am still able to find three different ways of comfortablilty using this portable bench for meditation. I’ve used it three times for 20 mins each. I can’t wait to get it outside! I was weary of buying it based on other people talking about bad knees, but once I played around I was able to find different positions! My knees do have some tightness and soreness when placing under the bench, it took a bit to find the sweet spot, but once I did it’s wonderful. And I am able to slide my knees out while staying seated and put my feet together in front of me and I feel the same support as if they are under the bench. Also, because I am short, just sitting on the bench with my feet in front on the ground and knees up, it’s a great way to get a lower squat in, but it’s completely comfortable. I love this bench. I will take it everywhere! It’s well made and very sturdy, just beautiful! I’ll upload pics when I can get outside with it!
