I bought this to keep by the wood stove to cut kindling. It's a good weight and well made. I feel like it was a good deal for what I paid.

Packaging was better than the item. Handle arrived LOOSE and ill fitted with gaps. Poorly executed with NO effort at QC. Edge was dull and unusable for its intended use as delivered. Blade was ground with a rolled edge. Blade cover/rivets are not suitable for a child's purse. Overall, I should return it for being useless as a camp ax. However, I will put a new handle on it, sharpen it with a proper edge and new blade cover. The ONLY thing I like about it is its blade geometry. Buy it for looks...not for use.

Very nice axe for the price. Sturdy and very solid. It is however really dull as shipped, but if you are familiar with sharpening tools, I'd recommend it.

Looks great, works okay. Definitely will need additional sharpening. Wish it had a little more heft to it but otherwise a decent little splitter.

I bought this to replace a Camp hatchet that I made a few years ago, which was lost. When it arrived. The handle was loose on the head. It was bad, to the point it would rattle when you shook it in your hand. I went to attempt to tighten it on the head however, there is not enough wood left, and the handle was shaped too small from the factory to fit snug. So I had to take the handle off and replace it. In the process of taking it off, I noticed that the edge on it had about a half inch crack in it, most likely from tempering. So I ended up having to cut a half inch off of the cutting edge to remove the stress crack. That being said you’re better off just building your own because that’s basically what I’m doing with this one.

The head is extremely loose on purchase. Metal around where it attaches looks corroded. If you want a decoration piece that’s can never be used as a hatchet then you found the perfect hatchet for you.
