Westland houseplant potting mix
I'm very happy with this potting mix, I've tried other brands and personally find this to be the best. I tend to buy this when it pops up on offer as it's very good value. Ive compared prices to that on here and local garden centres and amazon can't be beaten currently. It's a nice plant base, the mix is of equal consistency, no massive lumps of bark or goodness knows what. The texture is light and crumbly as I imagine a good compost to be. I find it takes water in well and doesn't clump.up in the pot which harms the plants. Plants seem happy enough, there hasn't been any real growth as yet but there definitely hasn't been any deterioration after repotting either so it's a win for me. Zero gnats or eggs within the mix which I have found from compost bought in garden centres. Very easy to use, bag is very easy to handle and not overly heavy thanks to its handy size. I will be purchasing many more in the future.

Great mix suitable for all of my 24 houseplants! They’re thriving! 🪴
I love this product and have reordered it a lot. It’s a really healthy mix that promotes growth and is ready to use. I have 24 house plants and all have this soil now after repotting - ranging from delicate string of pearl plants to more robust plants like corn plants and pathos. Suitable for all. They’re all thriving, I’ve attached pictures of a few. The soil is not dense and is very airy, so water doesn’t get trapped for days on end. This is really good for the roots as they’re not sitting around water for ages - preventing root rot. Also, there are no fungus gnats or bugs which can appear in plant mixes. The bag size itself lasted me around 6 pots when repotting - so good value for money. I would highly recommend this soil for all house plants - especially for beginners new to houseplant care as it’s packed with nutrients! Hope this helps you decide! 🪴

Great balance of drainage and moisture – noticeable difference after repotting
I’ve repotted a few houseplants with this now (monstera, peace lily, and a couple of smaller foliage plants), and it’s been one of the better mixes I’ve used. The texture is light and easy to break up straight out of the bag—no big clumps—and it doesn’t feel overly dense like some cheaper composts. What stood out most for me is the balance: it drains well so roots aren’t sitting in water, but it still holds enough moisture that I’m not constantly having to water. My peace lily usually sulks after repotting but perked up within a couple of days with this. Leaves look healthier and I’ve already seen some new growth starting. No issues with pests or debris either, which I’ve had with other brands before. It also seems quite forgiving—good if you’re not 100% precise with watering. Only thing to note is if you’ve got plants that prefer very fast drainage (like succulents), you might still want to mix in extra perlite—but for most standard houseplants, this works perfectly on its own. Would definitely buy again.

Potted 7 plants from 1 bag!
I have given 4 stars as I am unsure how well the plants will grow as yet as only just repotted my plants. I purchased 2 bags for £10 which is a good price. My last bags, of a different make, cost about £7 each. So far I have only used 1 full bag. I have repotted 7 plants plus potted a cutting from the umbrella plants. For reference the large pots are 19-20cm pots, so not small tiny pots. I was pleasantly surprised at how far 1 bag went. I will update once the plants have settled and hopefully started to grow.
