If you are making a Scottish dish like Skerlie, I don’t suppose there’s a better oatmeal on the planet to use. **Q: Is the red bag an "instant" variety or regular longer cooking? Hamblyn's is the best oatmeal ever but not sure about this selection.** A: Not instant. The oat is crushed and would be a little finer than steel cut oats.
