So, it works as it should and its super easy to use, read, etc. It checks all the boxes. I want to submit a protip - if you are trying to see if your water softnerer is working properly, like what I wanted to do, this is not what you need to do. You need the test strips. You do learn by doing, and also now I have a TDS dector that works. I am sure it will come in handy.

I bought this to get a better handle on my home water quality and it’s been very easy to use. Readings are fast and consistent, and it’s helpful having multiple measurements in one device instead of juggling separate testers. Calibration was simple out of the box and results line up with what I expected based on my local water report. The display is clear, the size is convenient, and it works well for checking tap water, filtered water, and humidifier/distilled setups. For the price, it feels accurate enough for home use and general monitoring. If you want quick, repeatable readings without overcomplicating things, this does the job well.

This is a great tool. Seems accurate for TDS ppm. When I tested the tap water against some distilled - the readings looked correct. But when I tested my soft water the readings did not change. So, after a brainstorm I realized that soft water neutralizes the minerals but does not remove them. This tester still sees the minerals and reads them as it was designed to do. So, the tester works great. Just not for soft water. Back to those awful test strips.

This is especially helpful when traveling and drinking water at various restaurants and other places. It really does work and is an eye opener. It helps train you to drink water in certain places only since not all locations care about what you drink.

Very handy. I keep it in its box on the kitchen counter so I can do quick checks of the tap water. It is very easy to use. I keep it in its box when not in use so the cap doesn't get knocked off and lost. It is very small and would go very nicely in a drawer. It made me aware our water had some contaminants. As a result I now use filtered water from our fridge filter.

The water in our area got very bad, black rings and pink rings around the water level, hard water, so I did some research and found out that if you use a Tds Meter Water Tester you find what's going on with your water. This device is very affordable, seems to be very easy to use and get instant results. Well, it is very easy to use but it is either misleading or you have to be a water scientist to understand the results. No matter how I tested the water (filtered, boiled, from the tap) ALL the numbers were the same or very close. The Tds Meter Digital Water Tester description states: - "Multipurpose Tds Tester: Test the purity of drinking water to ensure it's safe and healthy, ... maintenance aquarium, hydroponics(test nutrients), well, pool, hot tub, spa and testing tap water, bottle water, etc." - and - "Look no further than our water testing kit for drinking water! Our easy-to-use device lets you quickly and accurately test the purity of any water source, giving you peace of mind that you're drinking clean and healthy water. " - After I returned it, doing farther research I found out that A TDS meter: - does NOT detect specific contaminants like lead, PFAS, bacteria, pesticides, or uncharged particles So, if you need to know about your water quality, this device does not find the presence of contaminants and the description is misleading. Make sure that BEFORE you purchase this product, you do your research. Unfortunately, for this reason I am giving it 1 star.

Got this water tester recently for my home. I want to make sure the water is good quality and this is the tool I was looking for. This tester tests very quickly and efficiently. Has a very handy guide to let you know what level the water should be. It's part if my camping/ emergency kit. Very useful tool to have. Light let's you know if the level is RED or GREEN. Comes with batteries. Happy with the purchase.
