I’ve had this Weber Q 2800N+ for a couple of months now, and it’s hands-down one of the best gas grills I’ve ever owned in this size class. Coming from a larger, traditional grill, I was skeptical about how a “compact” unit would measure up — but this thing absolutely delivers. 🔥 What I love: • Huge temperature range: From about 250°F (great for low-and-slow cooking) all the way up to 700°F for perfect searing — way more versatile than other small gas grills I’ve tried. • Plus burner: The extra burner really makes a difference, helping reach higher temps quickly and also allowing gentle heat for slow roasts or baking. • Grilling space: Plenty of room for family meals — easily fits 10–12 burgers or a couple of rib racks — even though the overall footprint is compact. • Solid heat retention: The porcelain-enameled cast-iron grates hold heat beautifully and give great sear marks on steaks and chicken. • Thoughtful design: High-dome lid makes room for whole chickens and roasts, and the front grease tray slides out easily for quick cleanup. ⚠️ A few downsides: • Side tables feel a bit light: They’re great for holding tools and plates, but they aren’t super sturdy — I sometimes remove them if they wiggle under heavier items. • Accessories cost extra: Extras like a griddle or weather cover aren’t included, so they add to the total spend if you want a fully loaded setup. Overall, this grill strikes an incredible balance between performance, size, and build quality. Whether you’re on a patio, balcony, or small backyard, it feels like you’re cooking on a grill twice its size — and the wide temp range means you can sear a steak one night and roast veggies the next without missing a beat. Highly recommend!

I've only had the chance to use this once, with some very nice steaks. Must say that it does get HOT and enables you to get those really neat cross-hatch marks that look so nice on a steak. I will try to remember to update this at a later date when I've had the chance to use it more often. The only thing I found disconcerting is that I thought the stand was a bit more difficult than it had to be--because of the minimalist diagrams. They could have added a bit more direction. (But I did get it together in just a few hours, after all said and done.) More later.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I’m really happy with the Weber Q 2800N+. It heats up fast, cooks evenly, and the temperature range is impressive—it can handle everything from low-and-slow ribs to high-heat searing for steaks. The cast iron grates leave beautiful grill marks and retain heat really well. I love that it’s compact enough for a patio or to take camping, but still big enough to cook for a small group. The side tables are handy (though they feel a little flimsy), and the option to remove the grill from the cart makes it super versatile. I also picked up the optional griddle, which works great for breakfast and veggies. Highly recommend for anyone who wants serious grilling power without needing a huge backyard!

Great grill, heats up fast

Weber’s excellent reputation for quality and after-the-purchase service is present with this 2800 Sprit. Relatively easy to assemble. Attractive. Sturdy. One minor situation arose and the service response was outstanding. It heats up quickly and high so that meat gets a good sear. We recommend highly.

Good product. Works well. This is the second weber grill i have purchased of this type. The last one lasted over 12 years.

Very happy with the grill. I had a baby Q before, and this model exceeds it in all aspects - including size! The integrated thermometer and electronic ignition are very convenient. Heats up really fast. I have not even had to use the third helper burner. It is relatively easy to vary the temperature from under 400 to 550+ if you need the latter. The stand though requires a bit of time to assemble so set aside a good couple of hours to put it together.
