Take less suitcase on your trip, take more of your stuff instead. Cons: you have to pack it full for the rolling function to work, and that is still less ergonomic than the 10lb/5kg castiron dedicated roller your mother travels with. Pros: You can take more of your own fleece to the mountain, more fins to the ocean, or more non-fragile company materials to the trade show than with any other checkable, rollable container. The fabric and webbing are super tough, and the water proofing will last a long time (though of course not forever). The grab handles at both ends are perfectly placed for heaving the thing into and out of your vehicle.
