It is only an on/off device. It converts a butane quick release to a standard butane thread, with a tap. The standard thread will connect to a standard butane bottle mounted regulator, or a butane pigtail where the regulator is fixed inside the caravan. **Q: How does this fit onto the bottle as I have tried various ways without success ?** A: Turn it to the off position and push down, it should click in, hopefully your bottle has a 21mm inlet, as there are some butane bottles which need a 20mm adaptor ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great adaptor *by M***. on 5 April 2024* I brought this to refill my gas cylinders from an LPG tank I got it's not a 2 way adaptor but if you use Alan key and remove inlet and take out brass square that makes it 2 way and works well not paying prices to refill these cylinders any more hope this helps ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sent a different style *by S***E on 20 January 2025* I review the product as received. It is a compatible adapter but a different style to the item shown in the product photo. Some buyers might prefer this, so I give credit for that, but I'm disappointed and intend to return the adapter. I only opened the packet so I could perform a review.I'm familiar with the style that should have been sent where the tap needs a half turn to operate. The tap on the item received requires only 1/3 turn. Some buyers might prefer this, it is easier to operate. Also there is an arrow indicating gas flow direction although there is no one-way valve to prevent reverse flow (some buyers might prefer this). The output stem is approx 2cm longer than the adapter in the photo, I can't see why it has to be so long when there is no one-way valve in the output stem, this was disappointing, it makes a tight fit in my 4.5kg gas locker.I hope this helps. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to fit *by J***T on 13 October 2023* Calor Gas have discontinued their 4.5Kg butane gas cylinder so have no option but to upgrade to the 7Kg bottle which has a push on type connection.
