It's plenty warm and not so puffy that it can't be worn under a pea coat on the extra cold days. The color stays fast and the style is standard. My go to color is usually black but decided to change up a bit so went with the gray. Very pleased with my choice and the color. It compliments the jacket and the contrasting black cuffs and neck band make this a very smarty looking jacket. The materials, finish and stitching are top notch. The jacket is comfortable and warm. Wore it out this morning when the temperature was 35 degrees and I was quite comfortable. There are ample pockets including the inside pocket. The only reason for a 4 Star versus a 5 Star review is fit. I normally order a Medium size, which I did for the jacket. It is just a bit long in the body and a bit full in the body. The sleeve length is perfect. It is just personal taste that I would prefer the jacket to be a touch shorter and slimmer but it does not take away from my happiness with this Bomber Jacket.
