Burn them away from animals. Quite strong smell and they do give off quite alot of smoke.

What smells are they?

If you have a look at the photos in the reviews and enlarge them. There is a photo of the back of one pack, the aromatherapy one, which lists at the top of each stick the scents. If you look at the packaging of the other, the moods ones, the scents are listed on the side of the boxes. It wont let me post the photos with this answer. But when I bought them I was able to see the scents from the review photo's and enlarge them to read the scents. Hope this helps.

Are these free of chemicals?

I've just checked and, as far as I can tell, there are no chemicals involved. They just mention the fragrance, plus the wood stick. I can assure you you will be delighted with each and every one! I'm jus about to do a repeat order
