I haven’t had to reapply before the 4 weeks, sometimes I even go a little longer. As for mosquitoes, they still attack my pup as soon as she steps out the door. The mosquito repellent doesn’t work as well. No smell and no irritation. It is a little oily but never caused a problem, it dries fairly quickly. You will need scissors to open the applicator.
