None better
Reliable high quality tires. This is the best brand for reliable and reasonably priced bicycle tires. These last a long time and run quiet.

Nice tires -- they mount "small" on road rims....
My 2012 Specialized Roubaix came with 700 x 23 mm. There is not a lot of clearance for large tires. This is a race bike. I bought size 700x 28 in these tires, thinking that would be a tight fit but a little bigger than the race tires that it came with. WRONG. They measured 23 across when mounted. They DID however handle mild gravel roads FINE. I wanted something a little wider, so I put the 700x28s on my wife's bike and ordered 700 x 32 for me (she could give a rat's as about the size of her tires and she needed tires -- thus I avoided having to return them AND got browny points! Moves like this is why I am happily married for over 25 years. Take note....). The 700 x 32 tires mount "small" too on my racing rims, and measure 28 across when mounted to my race rims. PLENTY of clearance. They are meatier and handle the gravel roads with aplomb! They are heavier tires, but have a nice feel to them. Would not be anyones first choice for a paved road ride. But, recommended tire pressure is 70 and at 70 they absorb some little bumps, gravel stick etc. and handle road, light gravel and limestone very well. Very secure. They are also very attractive! BTW, they are not for the light-hearted to mount! You definitely need tire mounting wedgy-things (whatever they are called). I really like them! They turned my decidedly road bike into one I can use comfortable and securely on some gravel roads -- and we have a LOT of gravel roads out here.

The Ultimate Commuter Tire? (Probably)
My use case is a little different from what you might find from others. I use a Track Bike. I like that they’re lighter, fit in elevators better and are simple to carry. So your experience may differ. I upgrade from a 700 x 23 set on my Track Bike to 700 x 32c. Needless to say, the difference with a tire that is 40% wider with actual tread is big. However. I really like the tread pattern on these. When the bike is upright, it rides like a slick. Nice work, Continental. The tires do look a bit like a “fish out of the water” on my bike. (But in a good way?) Even at 32c, the tread pattern is quite aggressive. I would say its a bit surprising to see such aggressive tread on a narrow tire. But I am willing to guess the cycling community is headed this way. I’m still strictly on pavement and gravel, but the tires inspire confidence like crazy. You’ll most likely feel more comfortable on your bike on these tires. Speaking of which, the ride quality is comfortable as well. I would say “almost plush.” I keep looking down, thinking a tire is under-inflated only to find its still at 80 psi. I’m not sure how a hard tire rides so smooth. Sorcery, I tell ya. I’ve never before developed a sweat putting tires on, so to say these were a challenge is an understatement. Tire levers are definitely needed. The shipping on my end came in 3 days late. Ah well. Overall, I love the tires. Better than I expected. They changed my bike for the better, completely. 👍

Good quality tire
The tires that came on my new Trek got to a point where I felt I would replace rather than have problems. The ride quality vs the original tires on the bike was like night and day with these being far superior. I'm not a serious rider using a Trek Verve2 just for exercise but the difference is noticeable and much better riding at the same air pressure.

They keep going and going and going...
Got the 700x42 version. Not my first set of Tour Rides either so I know what to expect. These are Big mean tires with fairly aggressive tread for a street tire. Handles going off road very well but still rolls smoothly on pavement. The hard rubber tread is very thick and will last for thousands of miles. Also, as expected, tougher then nails...and glass...and thorns...and wire...ect ect. You get these tires because flats are not a option for you, but you don't want to use solid tires. Downside is these roll only marginally better then solid tires. They are HEAVY and rigid and unforgiving. All in all I put up with the loss in speed, for the gains in durability, tread life and all terrain function.

Spendy, but worth the price.
I got this tire in January '20 for my 29" hybrid (Size:42-622). I figured I'd wait six months for a more balanced review. Here's my findings so far: -- Durability : Very high, even after 900+ miles, I'm not even halfway down in the tread. I figure I have at least a thousand more miles which I can put in. Keep in mind that most of these miles are on the road / sidewalks, so your mileage may vary -- Comfort: Very quiet and comfortable tire. I barely feel the road, even at full inflation. Kudos to continental for making such a quiet tire. -- Price: I got a great deal at 2 for 30, so it's a no brainer; however even at the current price (which is 1 for 29) I think it's worth it; even if feels spendy compared to other tires. I've tried the cheap ones and trust me, you might save 10 bucks on them, but the comfort offered by these guys far surpasses the cheap ones. -- Traction: These are touring tires, and have very good wet/dry traction on the road. One thing I would not recommend is high speed cornering. These tires will definitely slide out under you - and I have a few bruises to attest to that. -- Flat resistance: I don't have many nail or debris on the roads I take, so I can't attest to it's flat resistance characteristics; nevertheless haven't had any flats so far in the six months I've driven them. These have an extra puncture belt which would definitely help against light debris though. All in All - I think this was a great purchase. Highly recommend you look at these

Quality Tire
I bought two of the size 20x1.75 (47-406) for my Dahon Mariner folding bike. I have the older style, steel frame Mariner, not the newer aluminum frame type. The tires fit perfectly on the wheel, and in the fenders, although the original tires were 1.5". These tires have just the right amount of tread for my type of riding, which is mostly on paved surfaces, but I like to explore dirt and gravel trails. And the treads are nice and deep which should help if I get caught in the rain. Mountain tires would have been too much, and most would not fit in my bike's fenders anyway. People have said they had problems getting the wire beads on their wheels, but mine went right on. I like that these are not the folding type of tire, which always seem so thin and flimsy. These Continental Ride Tour's are very substantial and confidence inspiring. And they are super nice looking! Dahons are mistaken for clown bikes by those who don't know what they are, but at least I have a couple of dignified looking tires now. I'm so glad I chose these. They really aren't that much more expensive than the cheap folding tires out there, and for something this important, that I will use for a couple of years or more, it is more than worth it.

Great upgrade from stock tires for commuting 10/10
Tire: 20 inch Bike: Schwinn Loop Miles so far on tire: 150 Location: Tucson, Arizona These tires are awesome. Right off the bat, they feel a lot better than the cheap stock tires. PSI was the same at 60, but these tires grip and roll better. The tire really shines for commuting, or on country roads. The tire has an anti-puncture tire liner built into the tire, and boy does it work. I’m new to the southwest, and didn’t realize how many thorns there are. I’ve been riding daily for three weeks, and have pulled 7-10 thorns per tire out, with a couple ones still stuck in there. That alone has saved me time from not changing a flat, and most likely the cost of two tubes (generally they say you can patch a tube 3-5 times before you should replace it). I don’t know how many miles I can get on this tire, so I can’t speak on longevity. It’s not my only bike, so I might not ever get to the couple thousand miles on it before it needs replacing. I also keep my bikes indoors, which also helps parts last longer. However, for commuting, highway, or country roads this tire is great. They’ve already shown they’re up to the task of handling thorns, glass, and tiny rocks. There might be better tires out there, but I’ll be putting continental tires on all my bikes for the foreseeable future. They offer a nice mix between quality and price. They also offer a much better ride for anyone looking to upgrade from their stock tires and is tired of changing flats. Last point, your other options to help guard against flats is tire liners and slime. They both work, but I think these tires offer less headaches. Slime can get messy, clog pumps, don’t work on big holes, and gunk up stems. I think it’s best saved for mountain bikes. Tire liners are reusable, but some say they can damage or cause holes in a tube. The built in tire liner of these tires doesn’t have those problems. For those reasons these are my go to tire recommendation for new riders looking to upgrade or buy new bicycle tires. The savings you get by not changing and patching inner tubes will quickly make this a better deal than buying a cheaper tire. 10/10
