Developed for use on cars, light commercials and 4x4's to help support towing vehicle hitch height when hooked up and reduces the risk of springs bottoming out on uneven ground preventing damage. Manufactured from high density super strength rubber and assists with stability of towing or heavily laden vehicles. Supplied with detailed fitting instructions in clear English. SPECIFICATION Supplied individually - order 2 pieces in checkout to cover one vehicle axle There are 4 different part numbers to choose from and they are selected based on the spring gap between the centre coils of your spring. See instructions for details on how to measure and choose which spring aid is correct for your application. They are designed to retain the original ride height once weight has been added to the car How to select the correct size Spring Aid for your vehicle or trailer How to measure the Gap in the Coil of the Spring 1) Ensure the vehicle is parked in a safe place on firm level ground. Make sure that you use the correct jack/axle stands so the vehicle is safe whilst working on it. It is important you measure the gap with the weight (load) taken off of the coil spring so it is in an uncompressed state (this is why you have to jack the vehicle up). 2) We recommend that you use suitable wheel chocks to prevent the vehicle from moving. Apply the handbrake at all times when working on the vehicle. 3) Jack up the vehicle until the wheel is clear of the ground. (See vehicle manufacturer’s handbook on how to perform this task safely). Depending on the shock absorber fitted to your vehicle you may or may not need to remove the wheel in order to measure the gap in the coil spring. 4) Measure the distance between the spring coils at the widest gap approximately half way down the length of the spring. (See Fig 1 and 2). Remember: by taking the weight off of the vehicle the spring will extend and “open out” and this is why you have to jack the vehicle up.
