Well made and comfortable to use replacements for but no better than the British made Elliot Lucas side cutters I have used for the last 50 years

I use them for my hobby electronics though they will cut steel nails fantastic

Cuts nice and clean, and being the blades are slightly angled you don’t hit your knuckles

Expensive but get what you pay for. Nice to handle and cut most wires and thin nails etc. Glad I bought them as should last for years

I use these cutters on an almost daily basis while working as an aircraft engineer, I bought them on recommendation from a lot of the guys I work with as being a set of cutters that would last for life. I currently haven't found anything they struggle to cut through and can see them lasting a long time.

But it seems straight in pic but originally it's angled

Holding it up to a backlight then it doesn't pass light anywhere between the jaws when closed and it cuts thin paper evenly without applying force without leaving uncut spots. And looking at it from the tip the jaw edges are aligned. All as it should be. Don't know about piano wire - haven't got any. But only the best can handle that without dents.
