I wish these were a little cheaper but I haven’t found anything even remotely close to the taste and caloric density these offer in a natural protein bar solution. Highly recommended on the trail or when I have to skip a meal. They are very dense and do not have a chalky texture like others. Quality is simply unmatched with anything else I’ve tried.

I got these for my hunting trips. Tried one the other day as breakfast and it completely filled me up for the morning! Tastes mainly like coffee but in a good way. Very dense and filling, I appreciate the ingredients being clean and I like the high calories.

Good source of protein and calories, and I like the chocolate pieces. I don’t care for the flavor / texture, otherwise, however. Gummy and chalky at the same time.

Got these for a long backpacking trip (will be a no stove trip). It’s hard to find a high calorie, portable food source. Hubby loves coffee and said these are good. He said they’re not gourmet, in other words he doesn’t want to eat it all in three bites, but was a good source of grazing food with a lot of calories. I haven’t tested it yet, but I hope their claim that it doesn’t freeze is valid. So many meal bars get hard as a rock when they get cold. Will update after the hike if anything changes.

I was really hoping to like these bars for an easy breakfast on my thru hike. I’m glad I tested them out before going because I did not like them at all. They are extremely dense and just too hard to swallow. I couldn’t even finish half the bar. The taste is too intense and sour. I wish I could have purchased a single bar to try because now I have a whole box that will go to waste.

Don’t chance it! These bars made both me and my team mate sick to our stomachs on a three day endurance race. This was incredibly inconvenient as it was part of our calorie count as our food had to be carried with. I carried three with me. Ate the first and made it through half of the second and the third went in the trash. The three I have left over are also going in the trash. Can’t believe I wasted $40!!!!! on these. Also I regularly describe myself as a person who has a stomach like a billy goat. I can eat anything and not get sick! I also drink coffee every day. Maybe this was a bad batch but I’ll never buy or put this brick of crap in my mouth again. See ya later bye!

Bought these for cycling. They are quite dense (heavy) and not small. But they do fit in a back jersey pocket. My main complaint is the price - over $6 per bar. But to carry the same number of calories in a cookie or fig bar or other product would require carrying a much bigger quantity than one of these bars.
