30 Amp Generator Cord 25FT and Power Inlet Box, Pre-Drilled 30 Amp Generator Inlet Box with Cord, NEMA L14-30P to L14-30R Generator Cord Waterproof Combo Kit, ETL Listed

I bought this kit to connect my 5kW generator into my home. My electrician installed this outlet in my garage for me to connect my 5kW gas generator to. I've only used it once but it worked extremely well. The outlet box is high quality. We were able to mount it, and fit & connect the required cables in easily. (Now, this part is only for the technical & electricians. The connectors are this outlet box are not sized for larger gauge wire than 30A. So if you, like me, want to over-size your wiring for future proof connections, you will have to junction elsewhere. There is not enough room in the box for a junction, nor will the connectors accept a larger gauge wire than 30 Amps as they are hole 'push in' style connectors which then use a screw to bind them.) The electrical cord is high quality and sturdy. It also comes with a nice hanging strap and lightweight bag for storage. The connectors appear to be high quality, but I have only plugged and unplugged the cables once. Overall, I've been very pleased with this kit for the money. I would recommend it.

It works perfectly and is as described, all high quality and compatible with multiple installation methods, only issue I experienced is if you are similar to me you want to be prepared for an upgrade, I used 6/3 romex for if I ever swap to 50amp I wouldn’t have to replace the feed line to the breaker. Just replace the breaker and the plug, but ⚠️6/3 romex does not fit properly⚠️, luckily I had plenty extra just enough to cut one strand to make it work and if need be I’ll re strip it to work.

Well made, worked great, easy install, and the light is nice. I used this to hook a generator up to house wiring (using a lockout plate that screws into my breaker box, and feeds the power in through another set of breakers). Came with everything needed, easy to install, seems sturdy. Cord is good as well, in hindsight I wish I had gotten on 5 feet longer to have a little more flexibility in terms of generator placement. It works, but I would recommend you over-buy a little in terms of cord length.

Very nice cord for running selected house appliances from the generator during a power outage. Good quality and having the power inlet box included was a plus.

durability and ease

I used this outlet to run my water well with a generator until I can get power to my property. I installed the outlet on the outside of my well house, wired to a 30amp switch and then to the well. Works great and both the outlet and chord are made with good solid quality.

Just installed this for a customer. Honestly this seems to be a great value for the price. It seems high quality, sturdy, and well made. I'll definitely be buying one again in the future!
