Millennium Live Asparagus Bare Root Plants – 2-Year Crowns – Productive Perennial Vegetable for Home Gardens – 10 Healthy Crowns (Cannot Ship to California)

I bought these crowns in March of 2025. Shame on me, I set the package aside and forgot about it until April 2026. I opened it, and to my surprise, many of the roots were still alive. I planted 8 out of 10 of them, and 6 have sprouted within 2 weeks. I will buy more, and be more responsible next time. 10 stars, highly recommend.

I bought these beginning of spring. I was so excited to get these. I had tried roots from a different company the year before that never germinated. These were shipped fast, came in perfect condition and amazing quality. Nice thick healthy crowns. All have now germinated and I now have full healthy bed of asparagus ferns, and I’m now starting to get picking size asparagus now at the end of summer. And I couldn’t stand to wait I finally picked just 1 to try, and the taste was amazing I can’t wait to be able to pick and eat asparagus all the time.

They came we planted they are growing well but make sure you dig a deep enough hole. It can be hard but the do grow well and wet them down before planting help.

Nice, strong-looking roots. A few had some white spots on them, and I messaged the seller and attached pictures. They assured me they looked normal and said they would replace them if they did not sprout. They instructed me to rinse them with water, then use a mild solution of hydrogen peroxide and water mix. Next, I soaked them for 1 hour, then planted as directed. That was around 3 weeks ago, and every one of them sprouted in my raised garden bed. Excellent customer service and prompt to answer my questions and concerns. Some sprouted within a week, and the others sprouted by the end of week two. They look great now and I'm going to add more soil on top above the crowns now that they have grown a bit.

This is the second time I have bought asparagus crowns from Amazon. Unlike my previous purchase, these crowns arrived supple, large, and already trying to grow. Most of the crowns were huge, but even the smaller crowns were more robust-looking than others I have seen. If the asparagus grows as well as the crowns indicate, I should have a wonderful asparagus bed within a few years. Am very pleased. Edit: As thrilled as I was, only 5 of my 15 crowns demonstrated any growth. Others are doing nothing at all. 4-10-2026

Got these plants as a gift for my mother. Most of them sprouted with only one dud which is a pretty good ratio. Keep in mind they take about 2 years before they become ready to harvest, so be patient!

We are on year three with these. They have really taken hold and we are enjoying fresh asparagus. Highly recommend.
