A: Remove the lid, take out the pencil, and put the lid back to use. Please do not sharpen pencils less than 2.9 inch, as the pencil may get stuck in the blade.

This is 100% the best pencil sharpener and has exceeded all my expectations. I wasn’t too excited about the price, but it is definitely worth it. It sharpens down to the nicest point, and so easy for my students to use. Highly recommend!
