12v Wifi router
Seems to work well so far, although struggles if more than 1 connection

Value unlocked Dongle
Handy little of piece of equipment especially if you dont want a broad band contract plus with it being portable you have guaranteed wifi wherever you go. 8hrs of running power without needing to charge, again a useful addition. Also cheap compared to companies who wish to only sell it with a contract. Only issue is that it's 4G instead of 5G but not that inconvenient.

Useful travel companion
This 4G mifi device is ideal for travelling, especially as a couple or family with several devices, and you want to avoid horrendous roaming data rates. It's very pocketable and portable and of sturdy construction. It takes a full sized SIM card (adaptors are included). Just get a local SIM card for the country you're travelling to (or one with good rates there), make sure it's activated (if the mobile network activation requires making a phone call, you will need to do this with another phone first as this device can't make voice calls), connect to the WiFi access point with the details on the sticker and you're ready to go. The TPMiFi app is pretty good - which you can use when you're connected to the device. It's pretty modern design and easy enough to use (though some of the features might a bit hidden ). You can throttle individual devices which might be handy to ensure little Jonny doesn't use all of your data by watching hundreds of slightly different 4K baby shark remixes. You can change the WiFi signal strength to eek a bit more out of the battery. You can also view SMSs received too. The battery was the only part which was a little disappointing. It's removable (big plus as it makes it very repairable in theory), but in areas with less 4G signal (e.g. rural areas) it can drain quite quickly especially when using lots of data. However, it can operate whilst being charged - so you can pair it with a USB power bank (like an Anker PowerCore) to stay connected longer. Overall, thoroughly worth the modest investment if you use it even just for a couple of trips abroad.

TP-Link M7200 Works Perfectly With My FritzBox 7530 VDSL Router As A 4G Mobile Internet Backup
I wanted to be able to have a 4G mobile data backup for my FritzBox 7530 VDSL router for when the phoneline broadband fails. And I can confirm that it works perfectly. Just insert your chosen SIM card and connect to the USB port of the router using the supplied cable. Then set the router setting to use the 4G dongle as a failover backup device and you're done. The Fritzbox router settings are in: "Internet > Mobile network > Expanded Failover Protection." I set the TP-Link M7200 device settings to powersave mode so its WiFi turns off after 10 mins. as I don't need to use that at all except for setting it up to begin with. Note: If your router and TP-Link M7200 device are set to use the same IP address mask I think 192.168.0.1 was the default for the TP-Link M7200) you can easily change the "0" to any other 3 digit number that istn't the same as your current network IP address. I can't remember precisely where it was in the TP-Link settings, but it wasn't hard to find. One tiny little bug I did find - When I set the delay for the wifi to turn off automatically in power save mode to 1440 minutes (24hrs) I found that the wifi couldn't be turned back on with the power button. With it set to the default 10 min. delay it works as it should. All in all I'm delighted with how it works for me.

Great device for your travel
I bought this portable WiFi dongle to share the internet connection with all my devices during my holidays. Inside the box I found a leaflet, a short micro usb cable, the device itself and a set of SIM adapters Thanks to its size and the it's removable battery (2000 mAh / 8 hours of usage) it is very easy to carry it around with you. The device can be managed by using both an app (available for both iOS and Android) and a web access Through the app it is possible to perform a lot of functions such as : monitoring data and battery consumption, set data limits, send SMS or swith to energy saving mode, set the APN and check the connected devices. To start using it you need to just insert the SIM (standard size) and switch it on. (of course you need to connect to the WIFI that the device creates). Regarding the internet speed as mentioned in the description it supports LTE 150/50 Mbps that are more than enough to see streaming services and do web surfing at the same time. I'm giving 4 starts only because I think it needs a couple of improvements like: a better HMI ( it only shows 3 LEDs with Battery WIFI and internet connectivity), the usb C port instead of micro USB and the possibility to make phone calls by using the SIM inside the device.

So much better than I'd expected!
This is just what I needed! We are currently staying in rented accommodation for approx 6 months and the only internet offers ic ould find online were 12month minimum contract. So I thought I'd give this a shot instead. I've paired it with a Lebara unlimited internet usage SIM. Both my partner and I work from home and this runs the internet perfectly without any issues throughout the day. We do move the router about the house depending on where we are to improve service (e.g. for TV in the evening we bring it downstairs). The charge is impressive and it's easy to monitor via the app so you can plug it in and continue using it when the battery gets low. Initial set up for the SIM is a bit annoying but if you download the tpMiFi app first you can view text messages received by the SIM there (would have saved me 30mins had I know this). Cannot praise this piece of kit enough. Definitely worth the money and the fact you can take it out with you into the garden, away on holiday etc just makes it even more useful! Full marks from me.

Works straight out of the box
I had a Huawei mobile wi-fi that worked fine for about four years, but then started asking me to log in to my Huawei account (which I didn't have) every time I connected to a new website. Eventually it would not work at all until I logged in but wouldn't let me register for the account, so it went in the bin. After extensive reviews for another mobile wi-fi's I decided to buy the TP-Link. I was expecting a bit of a faff, but not only did it work as soon as I put the simcard in and followed the enclosed instructions I found that the battery was fully charged. Other reviews say that it doesn't work when it is being charged and I have found that this is correct; all I get is 'connected: no Internet'. I have to disconnect the charging lead, switch it off, switch it back on again, connect the tablet or TV to it and use it for about six hours, then disconnect the device and plug in the charger lead. I have it connected to two tablets, a laptop, two phones, the TV and the Freeview HDD recorder. I am very happy to recommend this 'mi-fi' and should I need to, will buy another TP-Link again in the future.
