yes the color it kind of on the sheer side, but is buildable...I love it....I think it would work very well with very pale skin....

Neutral pinks are a safe choice.

what shade would be best for light olive skin?

I actually have olive skin tone and I love the shade. I have not tried any of the other colors but matched this blush to a very expensive, designer blush that I used to wear. This shade works wonders for me. I hope this helps.
