(Men, kote, do, and tare) Is there enough extra space I could also put in my kendogi and hakama?** A: The bag gives me enough space to fit the bogu, kendogi, hakama and other accessories like kote pad and that sort of thing, but I have to say my bogu is a bit smaller that is should be for my size, I am 5'9". In my experience is a good, very basic bag and it works. A black nylon bag would probably work better, but I liked this one for the design. **Q: Is it a backpack?** A: No, this is simply a drawstring bag with reinforcement on the bottom and a place for a name tag on the side. This suffices, however a tight squeeze, and also has a nice traditional look, so overall excellent value in my opinion. I can put my full set of kendo armor in addition to my uniform (kendogi and hakama) in one when I want to travel with my bogu. The picture vs the actual product is different though. You'll notice a black leather frame that you could slide a card or something rather to identify to others that the bag is yours. Mine did not have this, instead a similar sized white canvas patch was attached in that location, where you would write your name or whatever with a sharpie. Also, this bag should handle most bogu with no problems. My do is very large and will not fit. If you have a large do, double check before purchasing. I still use my bag to transport my hakama, gi, and other items.
