I have purchased three of these - all CEDAR. The first one was GREAT. The color was exactly what I was looking for, and the coverage on the wood was great, and the look was fantastic. I am rebuilding my raised beds and need to paint a large number of 2x10x12's, 10's 8's, and smaller pieces. One box wasn't enough, so I ordered a second one. To my disappointment, the color (despite being the same product as the first) was completely different. Despite 5-6 coats, the second set was nowhere near the nice cedar color I got from the first box of paint. Note that I only needed 2 coats to get the right color from the first box. I went through the entire second box of sealant for half as much wood and still did not get the same color. So, I needed more sealant to finish sealing the remaining wood. I ordered a third box. This one was so dark that, with one coat, the wood looks a couple of shades darker than the wood sealed with the first box! So now, I have three different shades of cedar for my garden beds. After spending $350+ on the sealant, I am left with an unsatisfactory finish. This seems to indicate low or nonexistent quality control in manufacturing. Disappointed. I chose this product for the specific cedar shade, and now I feel like I should have just gone with the other option - tricopolymer - which I have used on the last version of the beds (which, by the way, made the beds last 11 years!). I am using tricopolymer on the inside of the beds this time as well.

The sealer is nice and works well. However, the tint can't exploded all over the box. Was able to return with no problems though. Very smelly
