These cards are great for daily training around how we approach challenges and how we consider our reaction to them. They’re well made on laminated stiff card, with a nice wooden stand so you can have a thought of the day :) Will be using these in the office and partying “my” knowledge and insights on others ;) Recommended

A touch of Ancient Wisdom in modern life. The front has a quote and the reverse has the philosopher's details. It makes a thoughtful motivational gift.

The Stoic Reminders Quote Cards arrived packaged and as described. The cards I received look exactly like the photos advertised. These are beautifully created and presented in a lovely box. These would make a fantastic gift to a loved one or for yourself. This set includes 52 inspirational quotation cards from Stoic philosophers. If like me you didn’t know much about Stoicism it’s origins are from ancient Greece and Rome, I won’t mentioned much details as I encourage you to read other reviews that go into much more detail than I will. But, it’s a fascinating philosophy and these quotes really give thought provoking words in a clear and concise way. On the back of each card you can read more about each author. The cards come with a beech wood stand that you can display each card on whether that be on a bookshelf or in an office. I put mine in my dressing room so I see it everyday. I plan on rotating the cards weekly so this set will provide a year of weekly quotes. Fantastic set made of high quality materials, great value for money too.

Stoicism originated in ancient Greece and Rome, but has enjoyed something of a renaissance in recent years as an antidote to some of the ills of modern life. In some ways the philosophical basis of modern methods of psychological treatment such as cognitive behaviourism, it has also been popularised by modern thinkers like Derren Brown (author of "Happy") whose performances seek to go much deeper into his audience's psychology than most stage hypnotists. The set would make a wonderful and inspirational gift for anyone interested in the Stoics, or perhaps for anyone you care about who's maybe had a difficult time of late. The quotations come from everyone from Roman philosopher-king Marcus Aurelius to the Greek former slave Epictetus, and each is reproduced on a card with information about the writer on the back. there are 52 cards - one for every week of the year if you like - ideal for dipping into at random, or they can be displayed in the beech wood stand provided, making them ideal for a desk, shelf or bedside table. They come in a very attractive green box. High quality item, highly recommended!

This is one of those products that would make a fantastic gift for the right person, to show that’ve you’ve put some thought into the gift. Essentially 52 quotes, so one a week from ancient philosophers – ideal for literary buffs, history buffs or those who know their philosophy from their philanthropy. Very well presented in a beautiful box that you’ll want to keep at hand to store the cards not on display. The cards are good quality, the wooden stand could perhaps be slightly better quality but that is just a minor niggle. There is a bias in the pack toward Marcus Aurelius but then he did get around quite a bit in his time and is considered by many to be “the philosopher”. All in all, it is a great product, something different that will inspire – not just another tacky motivational poster. If you want to be inspired to turn every obstacle into an opportunity, then this could be well worth a look.

This card set is beautifully packaged and excellent quality. I bought them as a gift to myself. Life just took a turn. As usual my “go to” is to try to control outcomes. These cards have delivered wise, meaningful yet simple advice. They have brought me an unusual sense of calm amidst chaos and the encouragement to embrace this change as an exciting adventure. I change the cards out every few days and take time to meditate each morning. I will be ordering more sets as gifts for friends and clients.

Beautiful and thoughtful cards. The quotes are concise but meaningful, and reading one each morning helps set a calmer mindset for the day. The stand is sturdy and looks great on my desk.
