Rather than fiddle with things, I bought this to see what would happen and it actually works way better than I could have hoped. On forums people were saying to be careful that it doesn't fall or anything, but mine did just fine. I just stuck it up underneath, hooked up the hose, turned on the water, and started the boat. Seal held up just fine, and I couldn't be happier.
