Harry Potter Chess Games, Magnetic and Foldable Chess Board, 32 Pieces, Family Game, CGM300HP

My grandson loved this chess set. I only wish the pieces were not plastic and a bit heavier. But it’s made really well.

This is a nice chess set. It folds up nicely and stores the pieces.

I bought this because we are Potter fans and I wanted a set that was a little more durable and safe from damage (compared to my glass and marble sets). The family loves it and despite the pieces being plastic, they look great and have good weight. The magnetic board is also a nice feature that is appreciated with my little guys.

4 stars because the magnetic closure on the board doesn’t function properly so you can’t truly close it as a case. Otherwise a great starter set. Pieces are plastic with one being broke upon unboxing (but I glued it back together where an arm fell off the knight). This is not a high quality set but a good set for beginners and a fun set if you’re a HP fan

So for my 9 year old chess player, it's perfect! The set up is the same as the board in the movie. ALSO I love the magnetic feature that helps when playing. The foldable and portable STORAGE is a great feature.. keeps her pieces together with a easy transport.

Perfect size for Chessnut EVO board and there is enough space to install Chessnut sensors into each piece. The molding and the overall quality are pretty good.

This chess set is very good HOWEVER is arrived with three grey Bishops and no grey King! My only option was to return the whole set. I could not find another option.
