This is a really good bargain for such a large supply of mylar blankets. They have many uses besides for emergencies to keep out excessive heat or cold. I of course always keep one in my glove compartment for emergencies, but I also use these for other purposes as well. For example, I am allergic to perfume and other scented products and personal body care products, which tend to get on chairs at doctor's offices, exam tables, airplane seats, hotel mattresses, and so on. Therefore I always have these with me when I travel and I can cover a mattress and then put my own sleeping bag sheet or other sheets on top of it. It's a little crunchy under the sheets, but it keeps the smell of the laundry soap from soaking through my own sheets and from emitting odor into the room and around where I'm laying on the bed. It's also great for putting on chairs and seat seats in planes and doctor's offices so I don't get perfume and scented laundry products on my clothing - which sometimes is impossible to get out even after washing and soaking. Some of the newer mylar blankets in the stores also have this waterproof layer that smells like the most hideous burnt rubber smell or something, and these blankets do NOT have that layer on them.

These things are miracles. How are they able to hold so much body heat in? I have them for emergencies but I also use one on bitter cold nights. I put it under my bed blankets and no matter how cold it gets I feel like a toasted burrito. These are super light and compact when folded, are shiny like tin foil, are dead simple to use, and surprisingly durable given how thin they are. They look kind of like flexible tin foil but doesn't crumble or tear nearly as easily. Recommended. Would definitely buy again.

I got these just in time. Our power went out for over 24 hours in the Great Lakes winter temps. I decided to use one of these and was skeptical. Much to my surprise I was sweating. I now carry one in my purse. Highly recommend these.

I ordered 200 pieces total and received all 200. That is very much appreciated when your goal is to be able to pass them out to as many people as possible. These blankets are very lightweight and are packaged individually. They fit perfectly fine in a Hefty brand sandwich sized bag with plenty of space left for other items.
