Men’s Speedcross Peak Trail Running Shoes

I’ve worn Salomon shoes for years, and the Men’s Speedcross Peak Trail Running Shoes continue exactly why I keep coming back. Right out of the box, these fit perfectly. There was absolutely no break-in period—they were comfortable from the very first run, which is something I’ve consistently experienced with Salomon and rarely with other brands. The grip is outstanding. Whether I’m on dirt trails, wet terrain, or uneven ground, these shoes feel incredibly stable and confidence-inspiring. The traction is aggressive without feeling clunky, and the shoe feels secure and responsive without being overly stiff. Comfort is where these really shine. The cushioning is supportive but not mushy, the fit is snug in all the right places, and they hold my foot securely without pressure points or hot spots. Long runs feel just as good as short ones. On top of that, Salomon’s customer service is top-notch. It’s clear they stand behind their products and care about the experience long after the purchase. If you’re looking for a trail running shoe that delivers immediate comfort, excellent traction, and premium build quality, the Speedcross Peak is an easy recommendation. Game-Changer for Trail Running and Softball! I’ve been a fan of Salomon Speedcross shoes for years—this is my third pair, and they continue to impress! My previous two pairs were nearly perfect, with the only issue being a small hole that developed near the toes over time. This time, I decided to try the Speedcross Peak version, and not only do they perform well on trails, but they’ve completely changed the game for me on the softball field! Pros: Excellent value—finding a high-performance shoe under $100 is rare. True to size—fit perfectly right out of the box. Lightweight and super comfortable—feels like running on clouds. Great traction—no slipping during 5+ hours of softball games. Stylish design—looks great and pairs well with athletic gear. Quick-lace system—easy to use, though I slightly prefer the lacing on my older pairs. Cons: Durability TBD—hoping the toe area holds up better this time. So far, so good! Final Thoughts: I’m really happy with the Speedcross Peak. Whether I’m trail running or sprinting around the bases, they’re comfortable, supportive, and reliable. If Salomon has resolved the durability issue, these might be my favorite pair yet. Highly recommend—and happy running!

I needed a trail type shoe that I could also wear on pavement as well as dirt/grass. I have a pair of Speedcross 5 Trail Running shoes from Salomon and while great, they look like cleats and I can't wear them on anything other than dirt trails or grass type terrain because the tread is very big/bulky and it just looks funny to be strolling around in something that looks more at home on a football field. These shoes are good, however there are some things to keep in mind that I wish I would have known before purchasing. Size: -These are long and narrow. -I wear an 11.5 with most mainstream brand footwear. -I expected these to be the same, especially since I have a pair of Salomon Speedcross 5 Trail Running shoes and like usual, an 11.5 fits me perfectly. This is not the case with the Speedcross Peak Trail Running shoes. I initially ordered an 11.5, but they were much too big. Check the image I uploaded for to get an idea of how big these are compared to a "normal" size. I reordered a half size smaller (11) and they fit, but they are very narrow in the toe area and the lacing seems to be much shorter, which, with these types of laces, you can't untie them. I hope I don't end up breaking the lacing by squeezing my foot through the smaller opening that the laces allow. I'm hoping the shoes themselves break in and loosen a bit in the toe area. I uploaded an image of another pair of 11.5 shoes (different brand) compared to the 11.5 Salomon and you can see the difference is pretty big for both being 11.5's.

I've been wearing Salomon for at least 15 years. Always money well spent and always a great fit.

I've had two pairs of Salomon shoes I've used for walking and light hiking. They were comfortable and durable, and I liked their no-lace system. I was really looking forward to this third pair, but was very disappointed in the fit. They were so tight that it was a struggle to get them on and with just a short walk in the house they were very uncomfortable. I'm sorry I had to return them.

Salomon footwear is the best. These running shoes feel great and are the best quality in running shoes I've purchased in a decade. The lacing device bypasses my need to tie laces. Tying laces has been a problem with arthritic fingers. I feel so grateful for ths design feature, the comfortable fit, the support to my feet, incredibly easy to use with excellent traction.
