All of the pages are designed to help you start off a compliment, and all you have to do is just fill in the blanks. I would not suggest writing in this last minute, because there are many pages. It took me about an hour to fill in all of the blanks. It’s a hard cover book, and it definitely is more than worth it. Great quality from the cover to the pages as these were not thin pages at all. If there was anything that I felt that it was lacking, it would be that the pages weren’t really vibrant in color. In fact, they were about two or three pages that looked kind of faded. Also, sometimes the pages were repetitive ( saying the same thing in different ways) which made it a little more difficult to think of something else to right after you’ve already sold in the blank for a very similar question just 2 pages before. All in all, my husband enjoyed receiving and reading it. I enjoyed writing it. And I think it makes an excellent gift.
