They look great and seem to be sturdy and reliable.

These are about as strong as you can get D-shackles in Amazon. If you need more strength than this, you'll need to be looking at heavy machinery and crane rigging sites to find them. The strength advantage aside, one drawback is that the 7/8" pin diameter will not fit in the pre-made end eyes of most poly cables, so go measure those first. Nice finish.

My truck has recovery points that are slightly wider than 1.25" and I bought another d-ring shackle that said it was 1.3". Needless to say it didn't fit. Saw these that said they were 1.42" and thought I'd give them a try. They fit, but there's not enough room to use the spacers. I'm guessing the measured space is before they paint or powder coat it, which then makes it narrower and the reason why the shackles that say they're 1.3" don't fit on 1.25" recovery points. These are very heavy and feel very sturdy. Wish it came in a dark gray/graphite color like the first one I bought, but the black powder coating on this is similar to my bumper. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't have isolator pads to prevent metal on metal contact with the bumper. I knew that when buying this, so I'm not going to deduct a star for that. I bought some 1/16" neoprene adhesive anti-vibration pads, cut it to size, and doubled it up to stick to the backside.

These Shackles are really nice. Don't hesitate if your thinking about them.
