Molithe 100% Wool Blanket, 48" x 62", Warm, Thick, Washable, Military Wool Blanket, Great for Camping, Outdoors, Sporting Events, Survival Kits

I decided to try this blanket and use it for a mattress pad under my sheets. The 62" x 86" is a perfect size for a queen mattress pad. I have a memory foam mattress which retains heat, so I need a breathable layer of insulation to sleep on. I am tired of those cheap polyester mattress pads, which hold body odor and make me sweaty. I'm sorry that I waited so long to try wool, because it is very breathable and comfortable. No more sweating and stinky polyester! I actually sleep cooler laying on wool. My body heat rises away, and the memory foam doesn't absorb as much heat. The wool keeps me cool, dry and comfy...just like my wool hiking boot socks. Overall, I am really impressed with the quality of this blanket. It has durable stitched edges and is thick, but not too heavy. I've been sleeping on it for several weeks now and I'm very happy.

I ordered a few of these for a camping trip in Alaska. Summer in Alaska can have unpredictable weather, so I figured we had the best chance with wool bedding, and when I saw the price on these 100% wool blankets it almost seemed too good to be true. When they arrived, I was surprised by their thickness. I thought at least with such a reasonable price they would be really thin, but they weren’t. They came folded up and were quite thick. The size is generous as well and 1 can easily be used by 2 adults. They rolled up very well in the leather belts and look absolutely classy to carry around. Enclosed with the blankets and belt are written instructions on wool care for the blanket (which is not any different from general wool care that anyone familiar with true wool products would be familiar with). The next thing I noticed is how SOFT these are!!! I had long-time Alaskans look at this blanket and thought it was fleece by how soft and fuzzy it was. They had to just feel it to know it was wool. It really is among some of the softest wool fabric I’ve felt, and even the kids, who tend to complain about “scratchy wool” didn’t seem to mind these blankets at all. They have a very neutral smell to them (noting this as I’ve bought other wool blankets before that have had a strong smell). We carried these around in all types of weather (especially rain) and they never got funky smelling nor did they get ruined by their exposure to the elements. (In fact they even seemed to soften up a bit after being carried around for a while). Finally, the absolute most notable thing IMO about these wool blankets was their perfection at keeping us nice and warm when it was cold, yet they were breathable and comfortable even when it began to warm up in the morning. I will never go back to using sleeping bags after such success with wool bedding for a camping trip! Although the ones I used in this review got put away with my camp gear, I was sure to buy another one of these blankets for home use. I couldn’t be more satisfied with this purchase and I would recommend these blankets to anyone serious about getting a good quality trusty wool blanket.

Nice large, wool blanket. Better and softer than the surplus wool blankets you used to find at a similar price. We seal these up to keep in vehicles and to protect from moths when stored they compress well in storage bags. Nice stitching to prevent fraying. Probably will purchase more of these for Christmas gifts and for cabin. Haven’t used yet as we sealed them up shortly after receiving, but noticed how comfortable they felt and no funky smell. Photos shows two of these blankets - a before and after if you will - one out of original packing, the other sealed in vacuum bag ready for vehicles.

This is a nice quality wool blanket. Definitely had a funky wool smell when it arrived, but I washed it on hand wash cycle with Woolite detergent, then let it dry in the sun all day and that really helped the smell. There was a bit of pilling from the wash, but no serious damage. It's a very nice, heavy wool blanket. Great for camping, which is what I bought it for. Look forward to using it on many more trips!

Nice looking blanket, seems to be well made, and it is definitely warm. I have not washed it yet, had to let it air out a bit because of a slight smell. I love that it comes with a leather strap to roll it up in. Wool blankets are so much warmer than anything else. I wish I had a few more and will buy a couple more of these soon. The color is nice too. I may try to buy one that is larger to fit on my bed better.

Great blanket for the value. I washed amd dried mine in a laundromat front load washer on cold. And dried it on low. The blanket became a little less stiff but the fiber didn't become loose or shrink too small. I'm 6 feet tall and it still covers my feet and shoulders. It has a decent outdoors natural smell even after washing (I used regular powdered tide detergent) and the blanket odor was much less but still like an animal outdoors smell to it but is very mild. I kind of like it as I grew up in a rural area with many animal smells. It also does hold other smells too. For example I burn Palo Santo occasionally and the blanket has that smell in it too. It does shed a decent amount of lil fibers. Not as much as say having a pet would. But it does shed some fibers. It's not a problem as I see it. Overall it is an excellent thick wool blanket. Much thicker than the old school military or emt style emergency wool blanket from back in the day. And for the price point it's a great deal! Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a natural somewhat heavy very warm yet breathable blanket. I will roll mine and attach it for camping. Even though it's bulky, the comfort it brings, especially when away from home, is worth the extra load. I haven't used ot in wet conditions but from my understanding it keeps warm even if damp. I have a wool jacket that keeps me plenty warm even when it's damp from rain. When rolled up, if it's a tight tight roll, it's just larger than a gallon water jug. Enjoy!

This blanket is of high quality and exceeded my expectations. It is a really deep blue color that I really find appealing. The blanket was roughly the size I had anticipated. The one I bought is about large enough to cover a twin mattress like a small blanket. It came with a genuine high quality leather satchel. You roll the blanket and fasten it inside the satchel. It is handy for hanging the blanket in a closet, but it is made for a larger blanket. I was not expecting the leather carrier so it was an added bonus. I like the leather carrier because it makes the blanket more portable though it is small enough that it will slide out. The wool is of high quality and is water resistant. I use the blanket primarily when I go to parks and cook outs. I am satisfied with this purchase and consider the blanket a good value.

The blanket worked perfectly for our camping trip. It is lighter and takes up less space than my sleeping bag. It was just as warm as the sleeping bag. The blanket was soft and well-made. The straps work perfectly to roll it up and put in the car.

I am disappointed. The picture shows that th blanket comes with a strap. However, it does not. This is misleading.

Eine schöne Decke. Genau so habe ich sie mir vorgestellt. Ich dachte zuerst oh etwas dünn. Aber sie hält warm und ist sehr angenehm

La manta es de muy buen tamaño. Al igual que en la descripción, la etiqueta afirma que está hecha 100% de lana, por lo cual es un excelente aislante de la temperatura, resiste bien el agua y puede estar cerca de la fogata sin mucho problema. Incluye una especie de cinturón que permite enrollarla para guardarla o transportarla, el detalle me pareció excelente. Estoy por probarla en un campamento, pero desde ahora le doy las 5 estrellas y seguramente volvería a comprar el producto.
