LEDs have come a long way and this addressable type is really cool to play with. This string has separate white LEDs from the color LEDs and each can be controlled separately via the controller. I did a custom configuration for my bathroom shower niches and the results speak for themselves. They are waterproof out of the box, but when you cut and resolder the connections you need to use silicon to reseal the ends of the silicon sleeves. I used an SP530E Controller in combination with a 24V power supply which is connected to an outlet controlled by my Lutron Caseta system. I have ultimate control from anywhere using my Google Home app.

As always, BTF Lighting products exceed expectations. This is used for everyday lightning as well as colors and animations.

HAPPY UPDATE: Replaced the LED strip and all is great now. The Seller provided excellent communication and service. I contacted them with pics and descriptions of the installation and our settings on the controller. The next day, they replied. After about 4 emails/4 days clarifying info (they replied at night, I assume a time difference), they agreed that everything was installed correctly and the controller was settings were correct. The Seller sent a new LED strip replacement. That fixed it. Very excited to use them on our trip next week! The lights on the LED strip are beautiful and bright. We have them installed in black channels with a white UV resistant diffuser which naturally diminishes the brightness compared to an open strip and they are still bright. Also, the color range and the option to set the white to anything between cool white to warm white PLUS dimming makes them perfect for any camping environment. These lights are a huge improvement over our old single color (only off or on) LED strip that came mounted on the RV awning's roller. We installed the IP65 for two reasons: 1. The IP67 does not have adhesive tape on the back which we needed for installation. I contacted 3M and they don't even have a product that will adhere to silicone. 2. The IP67 is 12mm wide and requires special channels for them to fit in or you have to hang with it with clips. We needed channels. Also, I could not find wider channels that offered UV resistant diffusers. The IP65 is 10mm wide, front & sides covered in silicone, adhesive strip on the back, fits in standard channels and I could order a solid strip of UV resistant diffuser to run the whole length. That allowed us to seal the channels with silicone to waterproof them, because the IP65 is not 100% waterproof. Be aware a separate controller is required to use the LED strip. The remote that came with the controller has some easy quick settings. The phone app offers more customization. It's not a computer program, but has enough variety in settings, colors, music, etc. that it is perfect for our use. But, Seller support was excellent. PICS: 1st "broken" photo is without the diffuser installed on the channel. 2nd photo is after replacing with the second LED strip and the diffuser in place. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've contacted the seller. Will update if the problem is resolved. This is running off the recommended controller. Only about 1/3 of the strip will work. Tried the remote control and the app, same area out. And, this strip has dual data wires. If it was one Led, the rest is supposed to work.

The setup turned out great. The LEDs are white-tunable and RGB. - this means that it supports a mix of cool and warm white via dedicated LEDs - it also supports rainbow colors through a different LED The LEDs being individually addressable provides for some great looking dynamic animations. No product support. Manufacturer defects. I have bought various products from btf lighting with defects; however, the defects have been minimal and I've been able to overlook. My latest buy was for a project that was delayed and the package was opened after the return window had closed. The initial hookup immediately showed a flawed sequence of LEDs. However, when I contacted BTF, I was brushed off and told to wait for Amazon to contact me. BTF seems to only honor support when required. I am disappointed, especially after as much as I have bought from them. WARNING: Their products are good when they aren't defective; but expect defects. Many times I have had to cut and splice strips. [Update] BTF has reached out... Not a pleasant experience; but I will continue talks with the material they ask(Pics and Wire Diagram) As of our last communication, they have made the assumption that I used an incompatible power supply because it was an additional item on my order. I am an EE with multiple projects and I often order components for more than one project at a time. Furthermore, the compatible multi rail power supply used for the defective product that I had received was also on the same order; however, they didn't acknowledge the possibility that I used the right voltage.
