This stuff works great for my issue. Which is false chinch bugs coming indoors. I bought an old rural fixer upper for retirement. And the seal around door and window frames leaves something to be desired. And as it turns out, this area has seasonal problems with small bugs that can invade houses, like gnats and chinch bugs. Harmless in small numbers, but annoying in large numbers. So I tried this stuff out around the drafty sliding glass door frame leading to the backyard, and within two days there was dozens of dead bugs on the floor by the door, and no live bugs in the kitchen. And better yet, after sweeping those dead bugs up, there were a dozen more new dead bugs the next day, and the next. Which means the residual effectiveness actually works. warning: I highly recommend a brand name (3M) N95 mask while spraying this stuff. If you breathe in even a few airborne droplets of this stuff, you will be coughing and choking for the next 15 minutes. Not fun. N95 masks are rated for particles down to 0.3 microns (e.g. smoke). Which will easily filter out the airborne mist droplets while you spray the pesticide. A few bucks is worth it to not be breathing in pesticide. pros: - Absolutely does work for annoying small bugs, ants, gnats, etc. They make it about a foot past the sprayed area before dying. - The residual killing effect after spraying surfaces actually works. Continues to kill for at least 4 weeks after spraying. (Maybe longer, but I applied it again after 1 month to make sure) - Not stinky a day after spraying. (A noticeable smell when first applied but gone by 24 hours.) - Not messy or oily. (A wet film at first, obviously. But nothing noticeable after it dries and goes to work.) cons: - Will wash away in the first rain if used outdoors, and says so in the fine print. This is an indoors product, not a lawn and garden treatment. - The fine print says that spiders must be sprayed directly in order to kill them. So in other words the residual effect of spraying around in dark corners doesn't work on them. So if spiders, or really anything larger than a housefly, are your problem then you may need something stronger (and more dangerous) than this product.

This is highly effective, and I've used this the last 1.5 years or so. After moving into a new construction home, I encountered many more pests (particularly crickets) in my garage in particular, than I had in my previous well-established neighborhood. While I'm hopeful the quantity of pests will die down to 'normal' levels within another year or so, Spectracide has been highly effective at killing crickets, spiders, roaches, and other small insects I can't identify that have made their way into my garage or onto the back patio. Unfortunately, it's also seemingly killed some moths or a couple bees that have somehow made contact with the residual spray. I do spray generously every 3 months or so, so I'm not sure if that's why it has been highly effective. I don't have an issue with the fumes personally (even with having asthma) but I do wear disposable gloves and a mask, and I've not noticed my pets getting sick either (but I think they know, on some level, not to mess with it while it's drying). There's a couple drawbacks that remove a star: 1) The last (2) purchases have had faulty sprayers/nozzles, and I've had to resort to using the sprayer/nozzle from the original purchase that still works. Here's to hoping the fourth purchase doesn't have the same issue. 2) I know it advertises no residue after drying, but It does leave a noticeable residue that is easy for me to spot on white tile on the interior after it dries. I usually like to keep things fairly tidy, so I have to resist the urge to clean it - every time. White tile does make it easy to spot lots of things, however, so I can see why some folks may not notice a residue depending on the color of the tile.

I've been using Bug Stop for many years - at least 15 or so. I used to buy it from local hardware stores, but times have changed and they either don't carry it anymore or their price is too steep. This stuff kills spiders. Period. I live in an area that seems to get lots of outdoor smallish brown spiders. No idea what they are called (not brown recluse), but they make webs *everywhere*. I spray the sides of the house, the roofline, nearby bushes, anywhere I see their irritating webs. The webs even get on the outside of our vehicles sometimes, particularly around the grill or side view mirrors. Bug Stop spray does not seem to harm the car finish in any way. I generally spray in spring, then also in summer. The result is a spider-free environment. Yay! Amazon's price is extremely fair, and the sprayer mechanism works well. I do agree with others that the 'fumes' make my nose run, and I also cough. I use a disposable mask - you know, the kind that were everywhere during Covid - and that helps a lot.

We have a problems with large cockroaches coming in somehow under the back door. All I do is spray this around the threshold, and it keeps them out. The spray nozzle is excellent. Easy to open and close, and store. The large container will last me for a long time.

Kills the roaches , silverfish, and other similar bugs. Does not seem to spiders which is a good thing. Spiders are buddys. Its water based and does not leave stains. Towards the end of the bottle the electric pump will struggle to shoot. The fix to that is to hold the jug above the gun. Its tiring but it works.
