Lovely guide book
Found this to be a great to the point travel guide with beautiful pictures and on good quality paper! This came in very handy on a recent trip to Egypt.

EXCELLENT Travel Books!
The DK Eyewitness travel books are the BEST! Useful maps, lots of pictures and so much history. This is not my first DK travel book, so I know that they are all very similar in their organization and information. I think they are a great way to plan your travels. Also perfect to take with you so that you can familiarize yourself with the next day's itinerary before you go to bed. I will always buy them for all of my adventures.

Excelent book to read and review before trevelig to Egypt
We tried 2 o3 3 Egypt travel books before and this is the best, a lot of pictures, diagrams, history, tips etc:!! excelent choice !

Great book on Egypt - well laid out
I've read more travel guides than I can count. I read a competitors book first, it was horrible. DK's books layout the trips and sights logically, at least to my mind. I easily have 20 of their books. They have everything possible about Cairo. More than I need, but it was interesting to read. The information on the Nile Valley, Luxor, The Valley of the Kings, Esna, Edfu, Saqqarra, Abu Simbel, all were excellent. They also cover the Sinai, and trips to spots in the western desert. A must read if you are planning an Egypt trip, to Cairo, the Nile Valley, or both.

Recent guidebook for Egypt- good.
Needed up-to-date information to help plan a trip to Egypt. The guide book was useful. Nice size to take along. Not too big. Good text, photos & maps. It is one of my sources for planning a trip, that will include beyond the obvious sights. Other guides books were too old. The world is changing so fast these days: it is hard to keep up! Safety tips are useful as well.
