When the chips are down and the stakes are high, winning takes three of a kind Dr. Alyson Jefferies treats everyone who comes through the doors of her medical clinic, regardless of species or social standing. The corporations who run the Drift don't approve of her open-door policy, but Alyson is determined to fight for her patients, no matter what. Cyborg brothers Dirk, Blade, and Lance Trello were designed for combat, but the Resource Wars ended before they drew their first breath. Soldiers without a war, they drift from place to place, looking for a purpose and a reason to settle down. When corporate secrets and hidden agendas put Alyson's life in peril, the three hot-blooded brothers know they've found a cause worth fighting for. They are going to protect their defiant doctor - while trying to convince her that sometimes the best things in life come in threes. Review: She never had a chance... - Three of a Kind is book number 4 in the Drift series. Though the book could potentially stand on its own (it rehashes enough history you wouldn't be lost), it really should be read as part of the series. The characters from the previous books all play parts here and the overarching story-line continues within. And why wouldn't you? They're fun too! This story follows Dr. Alyson Jefferies whom we met a few books back and the three cyborgs who have fallen for her. She's the Drift's main doctor and runs the clinic there with a sure and firm hand. She's an excellent doctor and has helped our cast out already in the past, but is currently playing a crucial roll in helping the cyborg race as a whole find a cure for the enforced female infertility discovered recently by our crew. Blade, Dirk, and Lance (triplet cyborgs) have been assigned (gotten themselves assigned more like) to be her bodyguards during this dangerous quest (the corporations REALLY don't want the situation fixed). Since they're programming was based around security/protection duty, it fits quite well. Alyson is a wonderful character. She has an interesting past that, though not as heartbreaking as the cyborgs, is still rich and lends to shaping her into the wonderful person that she is. She resists the guys at first since she's been burned before, but it's kinda hard to resist three very determined sweethearts who try their darnedest at every turn. For their parts, they're unique amongst the cyborg crew in that they never saw battle-being created just before the big release. Definitely made for a different storyline. If you like your sci-fi romance sweet, hot, and fun with lots of elements of friendship and a few good action scenes, this is something you should try! Review: Three of a Kind - This book had great characters and an engaging story. My only complaint is that with all the build up, it skipped over it and you get a little recap. I would have liked to read the action firsthand. Otherwise, I really liked the story and the series of books.

A winning hand
The heat is on from the very first page with this adventurous story. I love how the characters have put their lives on hold to find an elusive answer, only to find that the danger is amping up. Perfect proof that there is never a perfect time for anything. But the danger brought them closer together m several questions are answered, they are reunited with friends and family, and they find their HEA. Whew! It was a fast-paced read packed full of action, danger, humor, and love that I couldnโt resist reading straight through to the end. You know, everything Iโve come to expect from this talented author. I canโt wait to see what she brings my way next!

Love it
Alyson, Dirk,Blade and Lance this is the story is the one I've been waiting for since we met the good doctor! Alyson a hard working doctor who truly puts others before herself. Triplet cyborgs built for protection who absolutely adore Alyson and will do anything to protect her. They secrets of the corporations are even more evil than they first thought. And now that Alyson has been successful they want her dead. Once again danger intrigue and soul binding passionate love are the order for the day. I'll definitely re more by this author.๐๐

Interstellar Tomance
If you enjoy cyborg romance, this is for you. Itโs a quick read and the storyline is interesting. There are a lot of characters to keep up with. Itโs part of a series but can be read as a stand-alone.

Okay romance, sci-fi could be better
Average romance, typical of the series. I keep hoping for better - because I really, really want some awesome sci-fi cyber love and Liana Brooks can't write them fast enough for me. Quality takes time. Ms. Hayes is better at kicking them out. Some funny moments. The men (triples via test tube/cloning) are all dominating, but that is okay because they are body guards (actually, it edged into aggravating). The doctor constantly is trying to find the balance between her men. I really would have like to see her take them home to meet her family. The story feels incomplete - mostly erotica relationship work for multiple partners. The sci-fi is there, begging for more. A okay read if you are looking for female with three male romance. Was easy to put down at night for sleeping.

An Amazing World!
Susan Hayes has a gift for descriptions of the characters and places her books are about. I become so immersed in the stories I lose track of time and everything around me! This series of books are standalone stories but are much more enjoyable when read in order. You will find recurring characters and familiar places in each book, but the stories are each unique in their own way. If you are a fan of menage and reverse harem books, you will enjoy this series!

Three of a Kind......Wonderful read!
I just love this series and I cannot wait for the next one. This series has it all action, suspense, laughter, hot sexy times and love. The hero's are yummy and totally alpha and their leading ladies are wonderfully awesome with hearts of gold. Loved seeing all of the characters from the previous books and catching up with them. For me that is always bonus. Again Susan Hayes does not disappoint.

Got lost in the story
To say that I enjoyed this book is an understatement. I love the way that Susan Hayes can draw me right into the story so deeply that I lose track of time. (Dinner got made twice that night) Her characters are well developed as is the plot line. The heroine is feisty and intelligent so the heroes have to work hard to keep up with her. And those are some sexy heroes! I absolutely recommend this book, but put your oven timer on to save dinner before you start reading it.

Another good story
I'm always sad when I've caught up with a series, it means having to wait for the next book. However the anticipation makes up for it. I've never quite bought the 3 to 1 thing working seamlessly but this story showed how much work a relationship like that would take and it once again made everything more believable. I love that we are learning more on the backstory of the cyborgs with every book too. All in all an amazing series.

Action packed
Interesting story with well developed characters. The build up was a little slow but the outcome was great. I would definitely recommend this book.
