Seamless setup
Had to change out my router after over a decade. I should have done so sooner! These have been amazing and easy to use. They have been stable, have a great range and the mesh system is a game changer! I bought refurbished and besides a great price they looked and worked as if new. Setup was so easy and the app walked you through the process. I used the same network name and the was a seamless transition for my old devices to jump on network.

Do not buy
Been buying Netgear WiFi equipment for much of the last 20 years: this will be the absolute last Netgear equipment I buy. Router works fine. Satellite was alright: sync was finicky, but got it working, seemed fine. First accidental unplug, and the satellite is now a brick. Once it powers on, the lights never stop flashing, never reconnects to the router. Power cycled it. Hard reset it with the paper clip. Plugged it in with ethernet. Singularly terrible: would sign up for a class action if anyone is interested. Lost 8 hours of my life trying to figure it out, Netgear support forums are pointless. Finally found a Reddit thread indicating that this is a boot error and recovery is largely impossible. Stay away from the RBS750P.

So Far - Great
Working great after a few months of use. Set up wasn't terrible, took maybe a couple of hours to get everything dialed in. The cost for the 7 is just ridiculous because it is so "new" (even though "8" is probably nearing release after they F everyone for 7). Kinda like phones ... just wait until they are out a year and save yourself a grand. Anyway, I upgraded in the same brand, which I think made it easy. I am in a single story home, and this system covers well more than my half acre. It is stable, good signal strength, but it sure isn't the prettiest thing. If you are looking for a good mesh, I'd recommend this one.

It works.
Replaced my existing 5 year old Orbi with this new one. The setup did not go very smoothly and the iPhone app did not work at all. I was able to get in from my computer's network cable and get everything setup the same as the old router. Everything connected once I put in the old network name and password. I got a new Orbi because the old one kept dropping connection a couple times a day. We will see if this one fixed the issue.

Solid product.
Yes it is not the latest version at this point, however, given the cost difference between this one and the latest, this is definitely worth every penny. I have had no drop outs, no connection issues and the speed/reliability has been everything i need it to be. The app does try to upsell you on useless items, but given that you really don't need to get into it much, not a big deal.

Decent but low quality app
This device does its job. However, the mobile app is lack luster. Coming from other brands, and for the price that I paid for this; and may have to pay if I want to expand the system, it's not worth it. Internet also drops intermittently; even kids who are barely literate are able to explain to me the quality of service has changed since our replacement. I would not choose this brand again.

Very good system for my house
I replaced an older set of Orbi's (slower) with this new set. They are must faster and give me the full band width of my provider through out my home. Setup was easy as I had a learning curve from my original set. I did experience one problem: I have a long house. My internet connection comes into one end of the house. I set the main router there and put two satellite units inline down the centerline of the house. The second satellite unit (furthest away from the main unit) does not connect to the intermediate placed unit. Rather it connects to the main router--sometimes with 'good' reception and other times with 'poor' reception. After a couple of hours with Orbi tech help, I found out that the satellite units always tries to connect to the main router, even if another satellite is providing a stronger signal--supposedly 'this provides a faster connection.' Do not understand why this is the case since I do get a 'poor' connection to the main router at times on the second satellite unit. Looks like I wasted my money on getting a second satellite unit. Even with this problem, I am getting full bandwidth throughout the house.
