This is a great product that is very well designed nd constructed. One minor thing though: it slips on countertops as you try to cut the bread. If they installed (4) silicon rubber feet on the bottom (like I did) it would not slip.

It does assist with slicing large to small individual slices. You have to hold the bread in place to get the slices you want. Then make sure that your knife (serrated) fits the correct groove and you will end up with very uneven slices. It opens up to accommodate a 1.5 lb loaf, which is good.

This was not the best buy. In the first place it came broken with some of the sticks broken and then everytime i used it i got splinters from the wood and the bamboo smelt moldy like it had been in damp place to long

Almost impossible to cut a decent slice of bread with this. I would have returned it but it wasn't worth it. Very disappointing.

Great product for getting even slices. Although if you’re being quick like me, you sometimes slice a little of the bamboo away as well. Don’t expect it to stay looking pristine. Just like a cutting board after you cut bread with it you will have cut marks on the surface. I have tried other gauges for slicing my bread. And I do you like this one much more than the others that I’ve tried.

After having slices thick on one end and too thin on the other I bought this for my wife. Works very well and now we get consistently sliced homemade bread!

Love this slicer! I had to buy a longer bread knife that is still a bit short for my preference but works.
