I was hesitant due to the paper-type file folders breaking easily, but these have not shown any signs of tearing or disfiguration of any kind, despite being used to store classroom manipulatives, flashcard stacks, and classroom wall decor (all in one file, too). I am beyond pleased with the durability, size, colors, and ease of use. The hanging prongs are of amazing quality and are able to be hidden if you do not want to hang, which is amazing for me when I ran out of file storage boxes to store my classroom items. The organization's ability is perfect for me and well worth the money. My OCD self will be purchasing several more of these to use in my classroom as well.

These expandable hanging folders are a great solution for organizing large volumes of paperwork. The accordion-style sides really do expand up to 4 inches, which gives them impressive capacity—perfect for bulk filing without feeling cramped. I also love the flexibility of the ten movable dividers, which let me categorize by topic or document type with ease, instead of being stuck with fixed slots. The colorful labels and large index tabs make it easy to find what I need at a glance, and the folders fit well in my standard filing cabinet alongside other letter-size files and subfolders. The plastic is sturdy and feels like it will last far longer than typical paper-based folders. Plus, the enclosed sides are a nice touch—they help keep documents from sliding out or getting damaged over time. The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is that these folders are definitely designed for bulk filing only. They’re not practical for smaller batches or light filing needs, and they do take up quite a bit of drawer space when fully expanded. Still, if you have a mountain of paperwork to tackle, this system will make a noticeable difference in your organization.

These are amazing at keeping folders organized!

I’m using them but I don’t like them much. I suppose they are well-made and fairly substantial, plus the dry erase is a nice feature, but the divider pieces bend inward so it’s hard to see what’s written on them. They also have a very thick lip fold on the inside so papers don’t fit in the file well. I spend a lot of time on my filing system so that I can keep bills endless paperwork organized. I would not purchase these hanging files again. Smead makes a MUCH better product.

These are very pretty colors, and come with everything expected. The expandable arms are nice as my daughters art filing drawer is an odd size. My only issue is that upon pulling these open completely, you damage the plastic material trying to re-close them back from the accordian being open, creating dented lines in it, which i cant imagine will hold up many times before cracking.

It could have been a wonderful organizer especially with the tax filing era nearing… but the quality doesn’t meet the needs. It’s flimsy and the divider doesn’t sit properly in the middle… really pity. The idea was great though. It would have been a great way of sorting the bill and receipts
