I purchased a 5X and a 6X and I tried the 6X on first and they are comfortable. There is plenty of room for my legs. It might be a tad loose, but that will never bother me. The waistline is comfortable. There is no experience of compression with these underpants! Amen! These would stretch out quite a bit for a larger person. For me, I can't stand tight things, especially underpants, so I sized up. I'll be washing these today and if they shrink, I will comment back. They fit nicely. They are very wearable and don't ride up. You can't see them through my shorts and I love the material thickness, which is thin to medium. I will be buying more of these.
