I use it on my MacBook Pro 2019. **Q: Will fit surface pro 7** A: If you computer has a USB-C socket it will fit. whether the driver on the device is compatible with the operating system on the Surface Pro is a different matter (I would be surprised if it would not if the device is less than 5 years old). **Q: Will this work with a Dell Latitude 5410 laptop?** A: If it has a USB-C port - I would think so, although you may not be able to charge the laptop at the same time, if your power supply is also USB-C **Q: Will this work with samsung s8/s9?** A: I believe so. I'm sitting at my computer, where I'm using this product to connect a third screen. I slipped the connector out and into my Galaxy Note 8 and it immediately displayed on the screen. It is a pretty good assumption that it will work for your S8.
